How drunk can you get in Epcot?

God knows I've had a cocktail (or two :rolleyes1:headache:) in my day, but as far as Disney goes, I'm with old Walt. Leave the drunks to the bars.

But, booze makes money. I don't expect it will go anywhere any time soon.

Drinking around the world is my favorite thing to do at WDW. Err at least it was before I became a mom :) Those margaritas are like an instant buzz lol! I will miss them this trip as I will be pregnant with my second.

Anyway, there was a time when a CM in the Italian pavillion attempted to cut me off. However, they served me anyway. We were a group of recent college graduates and having a good time. We weren't loud or obnoxious either.

But there was a time when I remember a couple that was absolutely disgusting and the manager at the Sushi bar in the Japan pavillion cut them off. It was during the Food and Wine festival and they were doing saki bombs lol. They were already incredibly drunk. They said very obscene things to my sister and I and their waitress. And they even threw food and shoved food down my sister's mouth as well as ate from her plate! Those are the kind of drunk people that should be cut off.

LOL. I love these stories.

Although I'm not old enough to partake in this yet, I can see both sides. It makes sense that I'd want to "limit" myself with all the kiddies around... but then again, it's my vacation, and I love myself a good time. this coming from the person who ended up in the hospital on new years eve at 11pm.. I see some drinks around the world in my near future :rotfl::lmao::rolleyes:

If you can't take the environment at Epcot, no one is forcing you to go. Just get a drink and chillax! Jeez lol

Billy you have just the point, if you and the drunks can't take the environment of a wonderful well mannered family place like Epcot, take your drinking somewhere else. JEEZ!

I go to Epcot several times a week - and, yes, even on weekends during F&W. How do I keep missing all these peeing, cursing, vomiting drunks that are everywhere? :confused3

The only time I saw someone urinating was one time when I was leaving the Epcot parking lot. He was peeing in between two parked cars. I stopped, rolled down my window and told him that in case he wasn't aware, they had restrooms inside the park. :lmao:

It never fails that self righteous moralists assume that thiers is only correct way and that all others must go elsewhere.

Tonka, surely you know my comments are in jest? I'm all for freedom of speech and freedom of drink, but I think the popularity of this thread is.... :surfweb:

It took me 3 attempts to make it "Around the World", but I finally succeeded Dec 2009. It was a super fun night with friends and it was also EMH so we went and rode Test Track and Soarin after. I am a 200lb male and have no problem handling my booze, so I would be upset at being cut off. That being said, there are people that can't and should definitely be cut off. I plan on doing it again, but I wont make the mistake of having a Mears reservation to UNiversal at 8am the next morning.

I was wondering that myself. I'm sure some drunks have misbehaved at Epcot and all. I haven't seen it, but I don't doubt that it's happened. I just don't think it happens all that much, because I go there A LOT and I've literally never seen all this pukin' and peein' and fightin'.

However, I have seen plenty of apparently sober people misbehave, usually several times a day... you want bodily fluids? How about babies being changed in restaurants? You want fightin'? How many moms and dads have you seen yelling at unwilling kids (and vice versa)?

Bad behavior is inexcusable no matter who's doing it -- but it's absolutely foolish to single out drinkers as if they're responsible for the bulk of it at WDW. And yes, that includes the people who enjoy more than two drinks and still (OHMYGOD) manage to behave as humans, even if they can't quite walk in a straight line.

I've seen WAY too many obnoxious drunks at Epcot. Shame on anyone who thinks this is an acceptable thing to do... from now on, I'm reporting every drunk I see to security.

I agree completely. there are kids there. if you want to get drunk go to a bar.

I do, often the Rose and Crown. Others like the Tequila bar or Dawa at AK. Another I love is the Tune In Lounge at DHS. There I've sat next to a 6 yo. Not everyone is as uptight about it, so deal.

I've seen a couple of folks that are just this side of slizzard. But, to get seriously hammered at Epcot, you need some serious cash, 'cause those drinks aren't cheap.

-brian, who has had some fine afternoons at the Tune-In Lounge, and also ran into (and bought a round for) some students he had in class singing as an a cappella quartet in the Rose & Crown.

Good points! I am not a big drinker, mainly because I just tend to fall asleep  But I agree that disgusting actions aren't limited to the drunk folks! My own son peed in a bush at the pool at POFQ (he was 4, I had my back turned). A man was laughing as I pulled up DS's swim trunks mid stream and said "hey-at least he didn't go in the pool, like everyone else does!"

I like to have a few cocktails when Im on vacation and I didn't fly all the way to Orlando to sit in the bar.

Just cause some people can't handle their booze doesn't mean there aren't people out there having a good time.

Yep, and has it occurred to anyone that the reason that some people need a few to take the edge off is because there are kids there?

I like kids..but in large numbers sometimes they make me do this:scared:;)

seriously? you could stay home and get drunk and save a bunch of money...

Sure I drink at home. I started this thread because I have concerns about drinking in Epcot. I asked how drunk can you get for a reason. I just wondered if they cut you off at say 2 drinks or if you are allowed to party.:confused3 I will be in Disneyworld and universal, seaworld and hopefully legoland. That is a long time before I am back home so I need to know the rules before I go. But it sounds like I can seriously party in Epcot.

It is truely the greatest place on Earth.:drinking1

We went to FW in 2010. We saw lots of drunk people in the lands area but most families were cleared out by 8pm, us included. I didn't care at all. I have 2 children one is 6 and the other is 2. If they asked me "mommy why did that guy puke in the bush?" I'd simply say cause he's sick and couldn't make it to the bathroom. :rotfl2: I could care less if someone wants to drink around the world especially during FW. I say mind your own business. 90% of people are going to act fine even if they are plastered. It's a localized event if you can't take the 10% chance of seeing something you don't like, don't go. IMO
