how does waiting list work

I Own BLT and BCV. We are going a week in March 2010. Right now to get the 11 month window we have 3 nights in a 2bdr at BCV and then we move for 4 nights to a Lake View 2Bdr at BLT. In August 09(the 7 month window)I'm going to try cancel the BCV and stay at BLT the entire time.

Question. I really would like to have a standard view and I would like to have our stay at BLT the entire time. Does Disney look at that as one request or as two seperate requests. I am assuming that it will be full at our 7 month and we will have to be on the waitlist to move from BCV, but I also want the standard view room.

i suppose it would be 2 requests: 1) moving from BCV to BLT-SV and 2) moving from BLT-LV to BLT-SV. but why would you not book the standard view at BLT now if that's what you want?

Sorry I guess I didn't say that-they don't have it.

I called Thursday morning and the gal said they had the standard room-no problem. She went and talked to her supervisor and came back and said that the computer was glitching again and she couldn't make the reservation now. I called back that afternoon and there was now no avaliablity for a standard room. Total bummer. I didn't wait list it now because I want to change it later when we do the change from BCV
