Nobody knows what happened to cause the officer to fire on him. Did he think he was being arrested for his crime and this caused him to assault the officer who then fired on him or was the officer in the wrong? Either way someone was killed and that is a tragedy, but it is clear this isn't the choir boy he was portrayed to be. That said, that doesn't mean his death may be unjustified. Sadly, I don't believe the officer or the witnesses at this point because in reality they all have their own agenda and will most likely say anything.
As far as the poster claiming there are more prejudice middle class white americans...I think there are just as many prejudice African Americans so that point is moot. Just like people are saying this boy was profiled so was the cop by the community. Is it justified in both cases...I don't know really, but each side has enough blame to share for this mess. The really tragedy is that while in general the world is a better place to live in...things like this go on and white and black both take these incidents to further their agenda most often destroying relations in the meantime. Very sad
