I have a split-stay booked beginning June 24,2014. 8 nights at SSR followed by 7 nights at OKW. This will be our first time using Magic Bands. I am purchasing our PAP next month before the promotion runs out. So.. will I be able to go on the DVC Member page to customize our MB and select FP+ after I purchase the tickets? Will the Magic Bands be shipped to us before arrival or will we pick them up at the resort? I'm so confused on the whole Magic Band system :worried: Thanks

You will get MagicBands just for having a Disney Resort Reservation.

Park admission is required in order to make FP+ selections and linking the will call confirmation for the PAP will suffice for FP+ booking purposes. You will still need to stop at either a Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location to exchange for your actual passes.

Will the Magic Bands be shipped to us before arrival or will we pick them up at the resort?
As long as you customize the MagicBands at least 10 days prior to your check-in date and have a US address, the MagicBands will be shipped to you.
 
OK thanks...so I'm guessing that it will be better to wait until I purchase the PAP and link them before customizing the bands?

You don't have to wait. Nothing is actually stored on the MagicBands except for a unique band id number. The MagicBands along with your room reservation, tickets, FP+ selections etc. are all linked to MDE Profiles.

You can customize the MagicBands now and then link tickets later and it won't affect anything.
