Trip will be in Decemember. I want to make final decisions before I call for ADR.

Right now I am avoiding EMH at the parks. We can all ways go to the EMH at a different park than the one we have spent the day in if we decide.

Travelers are Me, DH, DS 14 and DD 11.

Dec. 27 arrive approx 12:00pm Magical Express, Check in, Go to Magic Kingdom ADR- Crystal Palace for dinner. Try to see parades and fireworks.

Dec 28 Epcot - Character Breakfast at Askerhaus ADR Most of Day in Epcot maybe magic kingdom late - we will ride during fireworks and parade.

Dec. 29 MK if not too crowded then MGM Fantasmic Dinner

Dec. 30 O'hana Breakfast because it is my very favorite Animal Kingdom Early night in to get plenty of sleep for next day.

Dec. 31 MGM all day probably Prime Time Cafe ADR

Jan. 1 Magic Kingdom

To me it sounds like you've gone a little overboard on the planning. When my family goes anymore, we don't even bother to plan ahead. We find it more enjoyable to just play it as we go along. But if this is how you would rather do it, more power to you. Have a great trip!

Which EMH hours (morning or evening) are you avoiding and why? Are you not staying on property? Cos if you ARE - I wouldn't miss the evening ones! Those were our best nights!

Well I see you are taking the Magical Express which means you are staying at the parks -why are you avoiding those parks? We just got back and those nights were truly the best - there were lots of people in the parks, but many could not ride the rides for EMH - they were milling about, soaking in the atmosphere, shopping, etc. We LOVED the evening hours! And I have a 6 and 9 yo - we were up late each night! Granted my 6 yo fell asleep on the bus on the way home - but it was AWESOME! Cooler temps (for summer - at least cooler than the daytime) - and all the lights - so cool! We'd never done MGM at night - it was so much better! We got on Tower of Terror around 11:30 and rode it again right after that - maybe a 10 minute wait? It truly was one of the best things about our most recent trip!

I think it sounds ok, but I would really reconsider skipping all the EMH's. I agree with PP that they are great and are usually some of my favorite parts of our trips.

I am concerned about the EMHs being packed with people because of the particular dates that we are going to be there - DEC 27 - Jan 1

I will probably attend early EMHs by myself but there is no way the rest of my family will get up and out that early and trying to force them would just spoil my trip. They would then meet me at the breakfast ADR.

If we decide to catch EMHs we always can. But I am still unsure if you have to be there earlier than the EMH starts in order to be assured a wrist band. In 2002 when we went they had EMH, it may have been called something else but we had to buy an extra ticket, it wasn't much I think around $8 but there was a LIMITED number allowed in the park for EMH.

No you do not have to be there earlier - they start handing them out earlier, but you can usually find the people with the wristbands near the front of the park or near the EMH rides. In fact - the very last night we were there - we left the Magic Kingdom at 11 to head over to Epcot since my dh and 9 yo wanted to ride Soarin' one more time. (We had driven to Epcot as we were tired of the buses - LOL - and then rode the monorail to MK and then back - My 6 yo fell asleep so I went out to the parking lot and sat in the minivan (with the air cranked as it was so humid that night!) and they went running into Epcot - they got to Soarin' around 11:45 (I think it was closing at 12) - but no one was around with wristbands. My daughter started to cry - and the cm's just said they could go by your resort id to prove you are a resort guest so just to go on in. So don't worry!! THe bonus was that there were very few people in line so the CM let them stay on and ride Soarin' again!

So - if all else fails - you can use your resort id - just sweet talk the CM's - and I'm not sure sweet talking is even necessary since I'm sure my dh didn't do that - LOL!

Forgot to say - I do not think these are limited at all - it's just for resort guests and if you are not one, you do not get one.
