How does the waitlist work?

I have 10 nights reserved for December at OKW. I am going to call tomorrow and waitlist for VWL for 5 of those nights. Some questions:

1. I only want it if all 5 nights come through. I can do that, right?

2. If the 5 nights open up, will MS automatically cancel the 5 nights at OKW and reserve the nights at VWL?

3. I've asked this question twice in the last few weeks and I have received conflicting information. If I reserve a dedicated 2 bedroom at VWL is that guaranteed or is it considered a request. Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks!

Lisa

I think I can answer #2 - they will call you first to see if you still want it before making any changes to your ressie.

We are waiting listing for BWV standard view (not very hopeful on getting it), but anyway, they called 2X & had a preferred view. I just don't want to spend an extra 45 pts. right now for preferred so we're still on the wait list & they'll only call now if they have a standard.

Good luck getting what you want!!

I recently waitlisted and even though I had selected "automatic," they still called to verify. I had wanted some nights at the VWL and was willing to take 2, 3 or 4 nights and the CM told me she put these requests in separately so I had a better chance on the list. My 4 nights came through and I had a phone message from MS saying "Call us within 24 hours if you still want this." I was thrilled. It seems like they will verify with you, if space becomes available. If the whole 5 nights is all you are willing to accept, they will have put it in the computer that way. I was nervous about the whole waitlist thing, but it worked for me.
