Hi Everybody,

I am trying to plan a trip to WDW for the last week of September and was curious as to how the temperature varies throughout the day. I realize its going to be hot but according Accuweather.com the temperature should go between a high in the low 90's to a low in the low 70's.

Obviously, the 11am-1pm hours are probably the hottest times when the sun is at its peak but in this 70-90 range, how often is it towards the higher end of the range (90 degrees) and how often is it towards the lower end? Does it only get towards 70 in the dead of night and can I (should I) expect it to be towards the 90 degree end for most of the time the parks are open?

Thanks for all the advice in advance! First time WDW'er here.

I see you're in Cali. You need to remember the humidity here. You can add about ten degrees to whatever temps are due to our humidity -- also called heat index. So 70 (in the middle of the night) will feel like 80. 90 will feel like 100, sometimes 105.

It's hot "sweaty" weather all day and usually in the evenings in September. This isn't a dry heat like the West Coast. It's like sauna heat, very moist. Sometimes you can even see it in the air. It's like a mist.

It's hasn't gotten to 70 yet here at night, and I'm two hours north of Orlando. I watch this, because as soon as it's 70 or under at night, our pool is finished for the season. We generally start seeing 70 or under at night mid October. Plan for 80-90 degree heat, then add that heat index it to for your entire stay.

It's brutally hot in September, but if you're prepared for it, you'll have a wonderful time regardless :)

What is the humidity percentage down there now? I can't seem to find it on the weather websites, it just lists the temps. I have RA so I know to kinda watch the percent humidity to determine what pills I'll take that day.
We live in Chicago and know alllll about the heat index!

Go to Accuweather.com and click on the details for tomorrow. From there, you can view the hour-by-hour forecase which includes humidity.

For the OP, it will be very hot all day long. From Accuweather for a sample day, at 7:00 a.m. the actual temp is 76 and the "RealFeel" is 87. At 1:00 p.m., the actual temp is 87 with a "RealFeel" of 103. At 9:00 p.m., the actual temp is 76 and the "RealFeel" is 82.

Actually, the hottest part of the day in the subtropical South is from about 1:30 - 4 pm. It's not bad before noon.

The coolest part of the day is usually just around dawn, when condensation is at peak. It does not normally cool down very much when the sun sets, unless it has been raining for most of the day. A lot of the heat comes from the temperature of the ground, which is why it is so hot right after a mid-day summer rain -- steam is literally rising from the hot ground.

I have a question. What is the weather like in the first part of November? That is we will be there for our 2nd trip. We were there in August of 05 the humidity about killed us. We are from NW Kansas (very dry weather in summer and very cold in winter) :wave2:

Eventhough it will probably be consistently hot and humid when you visit I would still pack a light jacket/sweater...the restaurants are always freezing.
