How does the new Test Track compare to the old Test Track?

The whole ride track is exactly the same.
They have just updated the inside portion of the ride. It has more of a glow in the dark feel?
But if u love Test track it's all the same ride track.

My favorite part (The hot and cold test) are gone. The car design part is fun though.

the old one was about crash testing. The new one is about designing the car of the future. The only problem is the old theme made sense completely and the new theme really doesn't because you can design your car however you want and nothing about the ride changes other than some numbers that you see on a screen that mean nothing. There is a real disconnect between their vision of the new ride and the actual execution

Isn't the aerodynamics section just the hot/cold test with a different effect?

The new one is TRON-esque. It's not a full TRON theme of course but I think at one point they were considering it so you get a lot of neon blue lights. I actually like the new one better because some of the bumpy "road test" part was taken out that I didn't find particularly comfortable. Also the new interactive queue (build your car virtually) is good the first time - something different. Just don't be disappointed if the screens that are supposed to show who's car won are out of sync. The last screen rarely shows the right cars.

I honestly liked both, but the new one is slightly better to me. Here's our video of the new version.

Mostly it's still the same ride. I liked the new design a little better. The car design aspect and seeing how your car design stacked up against others is really cool.

I love the new one. Better queue music, better, sleeker ride design, and I love the competition of the car designs, plus being able to take said designs with you into the post-show for some other fun stuff.

Another one that preferred the old one, not the ride part but I liked the line better in the old one, have no interest in the design your car part and usually skip it. I also liked the dump room better with the old one, is there maybe a different car sponsor?

I agree with this so much. We had fast passes for Test Track back when the new version first opened. The design part made the ride so much longer. From the time we entered the line until we got off the ride was about 45 minutes. We weren't expecting to dedicate that much time to the ride at all. At least, not with fast passes.

I really missed the old version at first, but the new version did grow on me with subsequent rides. The design a car portion is slow, but honestly really fun and I think kids REALLY get a kick out of the fact that they can see if their design "wins".
