Never been to WDW with kids before, I've always been the kid when I've gone........
Visiting WDW on 4/1 trough 4/8, staying at POR. Traveling with wife, 4yo niece, and 18 month old DD.
Not too sure about mid-day break strategy either (quiet place in park, or back to room)

Saturday - Arrive @ hotel around 3:30, Maybe do a quick park visit or monorail ride.......
Sunday - Animal Kingdom - Donald bkfast @ 8:20, stay at park until 2:30 pm ( I have conf. meeting @ 4 that day)
Monday - MGM all day, dinner at Hollywood & Vine w/ Fantasmic @ 8:30pm.
Tuesday - MK all day, Chef Micks bkfast @ 7:30am, Crystal Palace dinner @ 4:50pm (night shows @ 9pm & 10 pm, don't hink it'll happen)
Wednesday - Epcot Center all day, Norway Princess dinner @ 4:20 pm. (Not sure if they'll make Illuminations)
Thursday - Open day, may go check out WLodge, and go to ride something we missed.
Friday - Back to MK, no reservations, would like a "last night in Disney reccomendation for dinner perhaps).
Saturday - Leave WDW @ 9:30am :guilty:

Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated............ :listen: :thumbsup2

When you arrive on Saturday, if you go to a park, make it the Magic Kingdom. When kids think Disney, they think castle.

Looks Great!!

Only thing is having 2 character meals in one day can be too much. My kids fell asleep during one.(I was so upset) :furious: I

We usually go to Chef Mickeys the 1st night we are there and then ride the monorail as we don't want to use up a day on our hoppers. (not a problem is you get the ones that expire 14 days after use)

Have a great trip.

With two young children you will definitely need a mid-day break for them....and for yourselves!
I would go back to your resort for a couple of hours to rest and then return to the park.

Always good to have a plan but best to plan on not following it exactly! ;)
Take breaks especially with the little ones! Have a lot of fun :sunny:

What about the late night shows? ie Illuminations, Fantasmic (can't miss this), Spectromagic, Wishes fireworks????? For those who have brought younge kids how did it work out???

Our DD was 3 1/2 for her first trip, and she fell asleep midday most days in the stroller. She then had no problem with, and was quite excited for, all the evening shows and Spectromagic (the fireworks were a bit loud for her, though). We'd get back to our room between 9 and 10 each night, and she'd conk out soon after.

Have a great time!

:sunny:

Animal Kingdom is a smart bet on Sunday, the others who arrived that weekend will usually be hitting MK and Epcot
