How does it work having points at multiple resorts?

Hello,
Everyone was so helpful with my first inquiry. Now I have another one.
I keep hearing about how it can be difficult to get in at the smaller DVCs like BCV and VWL at the 7 month window because they have fewer rooms available. If a person buys, for instance, 160 points at SSR and adds 25 each at BCV and VWL, how does that work? Provided all points have the same usage year, would that mean that at 11 months that person would have 210 points he could use to book at SSR, BCV, or VWL. Or does it mean that at 11 months that person would just have 160, 25 and 25 at the respective resorts? I kind of see how that would make sense either way.
Thank you for all your help. I think the blueroses family is 90% certain that we're buying this year! :cheer2:

It means you would have 160 (SSR), 25 (BCV), 25 (VWL) to use at the respective resorts at the 7-11 month window. At 7 months you would be able to combine the points and use them at any DVC resort.

We own 300 OKW points and 100 VWL points. That way, with banking and borrowing, I can book a one-bedroom at VWL every other year during Adventure Season.

Thank you! That makes sense. I hadn't thought of banking and borrowing separately. This adds a whole new exciting layer to my planning obsession.

I have 60 points at VWL and 50 at BWV - I can do a studio every year - or bank and do a 1bedroom - (I only stay at DVC resort sun-thur)
