We have the same service;)

Ours is county and no option if you want it or not. You don't pay your bill, you get a lien on your home.
County issued rubber bin one each for trash, recycle, yard waste.
Once a week is always trash
Every other week it's either recycle or yard waste
So each week you put two bins out.

You can schedule once a year by appointment a 4'x4' neatly stacked pile of junk to be picked up. (course people go through it and mess it up looking for usable junk).

I forget how much the trash is monthly as I moved back here from another state to an apartment.

Once a week pick up, happens to be Tuesday, if anyone was wondering ;)

Garbage and recycle comes the same day. Recycling isn't separated, just throw it all in one big bin.

Garbage is in a big bin as well. Happen to have any big thing you're getting rid of? Couch, tv, table, old carpet, anything! You just set it out there as well. If someone doesn't take it before the garbage does, the garbage will take that as well.

Bags of leaves and stuff is also picked up by garbage, i believe.

We do have a Christmas tree pick up (I don't know how often they come though since our tree tends to sit out there quite some time...lol) Probably just from Christmas until a week or so after New years.

Forgot to add, the bins have to be 6ft apart or they won't take them!! Although they're pretty flexable with that lol, I doubt ours are that far apart and they always take them haha

We have it once a week. It is one of those big rolling type garbage cans, they hold quite a bit. It is whatever you can stuff in there, some people put bags beside the cans I don't think they have to pay extra for that. It is included with like the water bill or something from the city, you are going to be paying for garbage pickup whether you use it or not.

Once a week pick up for garbage and recycling.
We have a pretty good sized recycle bin and a long list of stuff that can be recycled so that tends to be fuller than the garbage can.
If one week we have a lot of extra garbage or recycling for some reason and it doesn't fit into the can we can put it alongside and they'll take it no extra charge. I think if that became a weekly habit though, they might start to charge.

We have garbage pickup twice a week, as does everyone, but it rolls through the town as to which two days you get. One neighborhood over is on a slightly different schedule than us!

We get recycling once a week - just throw it all into a provided recycling bin, and you can have as many bins as you'd like.

The garbage pick up is anything you choose to put out on the curb. (We also provide our own bins.) If you put useful furniture etc. out, try to put it out before 5PM the day before so that it will have a chance to disappear before pickup. (Old furniture ALWAYS disappears unless it's just good for kindling.)

After a hurricane, yard waste is suspended and at the point that your neighborhood streets looks like a picturesque fence row in the European countryside, a truck will come and grind all the trees and limbs and such into itsy compost/wood chips and leave the street clear.

We also have a special Christmas tree pickup day, not sure how that one works (DH has allergies, so we always have an artificial tree.). We're from Southwest Louisiana, and over there Christmas trees are put out and go onto trucks in January right after 12th Night and get carted down to the marsh for coastal/wetlands restoration projects (You're told not to flock, ever. And everyone's pretty anal about taking everything off the trees so it won't go into the water. I mean, it's not a law, but everyone likes thinking fondly about how their tree is still out somewhere in a marsh, catching sediment, you know?) but I have no idea if they do that here.

Ours is once a week for trash and once every other week for recycling. Municipality gave us two bins for recycling but we use our own garbage cans. We can put out pretty much anything we want for trash, including furniture and paint cans. No limits on the amount of trash or recycling and no charge for this service (It's paid through our local taxes).

Man, some of you have very inconvenient garbage collection. I've lived in 5 different Cleveland suburbs and they have all been pretty much the same. Once a week pickup, no requirements on what container you use or limit on bags, if they do recycling it is the same day, and no separate bills from anyone.

I was thinking the exact same...haha

Once a week pickup garbage only. We don't have recycling. We can have 1 large garbage can, but anything extra we through out there they take. We live out in the middle of nowhere. Organics go into the compost bin. I don't know what yard waste is, there is no such thing. Tree branches get cut up for firewood, we don't waste the grass and rake or bag it, it is food for the lawn, and leaves get either run over with the mower or shredded and used for mulch.

Can't speak for others, but sometime between when the nagging finally stops and the county condemns the property as a health hazard, I haul it out to the back forty and dump it just past my property line.

Recycling 2 Boxes (sorted) on same day
Arrangements ahead for lg item pickup ie Refridgerators

My trashman comes every Thursday. We have 2 large cans from the township. The truck has a side arm claw that dumps it into the truck.
Recycle is every Friday. It is also town provided and just as large as the regular can.
Bulk and yard debris is once a month. Those are the standard garbage trucks that you manually load into.
If they is a Holiday during the week, pick up gets pushed back a day.

The joy of living in a condo. I walk down the hall and push the garbage, recycling or compost button. :thumbsup2

Regular garbage: weekly on Thursdays, with recycling every two weeks apart and on the same day as regular pick up. Toledo changed from regular back-hopper truck with three men crew to automated trucks at the beginning of 2010.

Toledo's collection was privatized in 2011, and Republic Services is our solid waste collection provider.

I have two 96 gallon carts, one for regular and another one for recyclables.

Garbage and recycle are picked up every Friday.

We have the 96 gallon containers for both.
