How does early EMH work??

I can't believe that in over 20 trips to WDW, I have never done morning EMH. We usually go to a 9:00 park opening. I know that the evening EMH, you can already be in the park and you show your Resort card at each attraction. How does it work in the morning??

At either morning or evening, can you have a Resort card in a lanyard, or do you have to pull it out each time to let a CM see it (like handing your ID to a policeman!!)

In the morning, only resort guests are let in for the first hour. So once you're in, you don't have to show your KTTW card.
