How does dinner work?

Disney's excuse for eliminating dining information on the cards was related to Covid-19 precautions. Their excuse for eliminating the paper navigators was also related to Covid-19 precautions.

If it's just Disney doing it because of covid then why are other cruise lines doing it too. It was done at this time because it was easy to do because of the downtime also it was already happening COVID just gave them the excuse to stop it without any more of a grace period.

The card is also used for making purchases, verifying that you're 21+ when buying alcoholic drinks, for identification when exiting and reentering the ship, and for turning on the lights. The cards aren't going anywhere.

All of that can be done through the app. There is a thread in the news and rumors about how they are asking people to verify their annual pass for discounts in the app.

Those excuses might have been bogus, but we don't know. All that we can do is express our opinions and hope for the best. You can be sure that those opinions aren't only expressed on this forum.

I don't think that they are bogus people just want it to be the way they want it to be. The world is changing airlines and hotels are encouraging people to use apps to check in and open doors or as a boarding pass why do you think cruise lines aren't going to follow.
