How do you Transfer Points?

My DF and I just bought into DVC at BCV, and we are looking to buy some more points for family that are coming out for our wedding in Jan. of 2008. I was just wondering how a "points transfer" works? TIA!

I assume you mean that you want to rent points from another member, versus actually "buying" points from Disney. You will need to decide how many points you need, then go on the board to find someone who can/will rent you that many points. Once you have made an agreement with the point renter, you give them your name and account number for the transfer. Now this takes some trust, because they may want 1/2 the cost up-front, and they need to trust you to actually pay the other 1/2 of the cost when they ask. PayPal usually works best if it's a large amount of money that will need to change hands. Make sure you are comfortable with this type of transfer before you actually do it.

Remember, you can only transfer once per use year. You need to find one person that has all the points you need. Good luck.
