My family is going to Disney World the Nov 14-19. We will be visiting MK for 2 days. I haven't been to Disney park since 2007, at that was Disneyland. I would like a little input to know how many days you normally visit MK and how do you pair up the lands on your days. Trying to start making plans. Thanks in advance

Well it all depends on what kind of ticket you have. I usually have an annual pass that allows me to go to MK whenever I want during my stay. If you are buying tickets for individual days, I suggest this. Write up a list of which rides you definitely want to do. You may want to make that all the mountains, mine train, and any other ones you find interesting. That should be the first day. You should take the second day for perusing around at your leisure. I still recommend getting to the park before it opens in order to be there for rope drop. And if you have tickets for 2 days, you could possible go at night and hit some attractions that were too crowded during the day. You could even catch wishes or the electrical parade. Would be happy to answer more questions you have.

Your dates should be super-low crowd days (Easy has that week at 2s and 3s! :cool1:). I think you'll find that you won't need to pair up lands as you will get so much done in a day, and use your a second day to pick up anything you missed or just enjoy shows and such (or repeat, repeat, repeat, your favorite rides!).

My preference is to enter and turn left to Adventureland and work my way clockwise. If you have small kids or want to do Fantasyland, then you might hit that first. Mind your FP+ times of course and make them for the big rides (7DMT, any "Mountain"). You should have great time and out just before the Thanksgiving crowds! Sounds awesome!

I'm also on the "go clockwise" pattern. Don't know why, but I instinctively turn left and walk around that way every single time.

Or, if there is a large international tour group, I'll just go opposite of them because any line they get in is automatically getting about 15-20 minutes wait added to it.

Day 1 We do Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Do our Must-Dos first, then the Whenever-Rides later.

Then on day 2, Frontierland and Adventureland and Liberty Square. Sometimes we'll go back to Splash at the end of the day because of the getting wet factor. But same idea, Must-Dos at Rope Drop, then go back and do other stuff.

Doesn't always work perfectly, but that's our general outline. We see the park as having two sides.

We always have a lunch ADR set up in MK as well. (Either the Plaza, or Liberty Tree or Be Our Guest if we can get the FP). So those fit into the sides of the park as well.

I don't know how long your trip is, but we like having a 3rd opportunity as well to hit the things we didn't get a chance to on the first two days (or to do repeats). Even if it's just a few hours.

We are traveling with myself, husband, then our two boys 3 and 10. Also my parents and teenage brothers and sister. I know that we are going to do Fantasyland at rope drop, just wondering what we should hit first and what to fp+. If we go straight to fantasyland will we need ft+ for peter pan and Winnie the pooh?
It is likely that will do Mountains in the afternoon while grandparents and the 3 yr old go back to the resort to rest for awhile.

Your best bet is to read the Cheat Sheets that someone linked above. Here is the Magic Kingdom one.

You need to also work in FP+ now into your plans with adds a whole other layer of planning because those are prebooked at 60 or 30 days ahead, depending on if you are staying on or offsite. The cheat sheet will talk about that as well. You also need to decide if you want to link everyone up for FP+ or set up your family's separately from your parents and siblings. Anyway, try the cheat sheets and see if they help! :)

On low crowd visits like yours we spend Day 1 being commandos. We will easily hit every attraction in the park from RD to close (with a mid day break no less). It just requires some giddy up and use of FP+.

Then we go back later in the trip and do a much more laid back MK day. Hit the shops on Main Street, parades and shows, character M&G etc.

If you go to PP first and Winnie second, you could save your Fastpasses. In November, I imagine that most of the RD crowd is going to go right for the 7DMT or the Frozen princesses.

I would fastpass the larger rides, like the 7DMT or any mountains. I think you will find that with a crowd level of 2 or 3, you'll be able to do most anything you want with relatively little wait.

Our way of doing MK wouldn't work for you since we haven't accompanied any young children to the parks for years. Our "boys" are grown. We always went left too, Adventureland, Frontierland, then across to Liberty Square, then lunch and then Tomorrowland.
Obviously we left out Fantasyland but that's because of no children. However, we also avoided it during the construction, refurb or whatever you want to call it. Our last visit the first week of May we didn't even attempt to go and try to ride the Mine Train. I think we would seriously have enjoyed it!! But the mass of the crowd went that direction. We just didn't want to fight the crowd or try to get FP+ since that was just planning way too far ahead for us.
We always did do rope drop, getting there before the park even opened. That always worked for us, but doesn't help you much.
If you go on slow days and miss the holiday period in November, you'll do fine. We never traveled with a varied age group like yours.
Enjoy!

We are here now and have spent the last 2 days at MK. I used Josh's cheat sheets from EasyWDW and we've seen everything we wanted to in 2 mornings, except 7 Dwarfs, which we have FP+ for tonight. We stuck mostly to Frontierland, Adventureland and Liberty Square and left at 2 for the day. Today, we did Tomorrowland and Fantasyland by noon and will go back around dinner time.

We always spend two days in MK. We generally do Fantasy/newFantasyland, all of our M&G's and Tomorrowland & FOF Parade & MSEP on the first day. On the 2nd day we do Adventureland, Frontierland and Liberty Square, and any rides we want to repeat from any of the lands. We also save Wishes for our second day.
We always do the Welcome Show which starts before rope drop.

We too split MK into 2 days. We didn't exactly follow a "plan" but went in this order day 1:Fantasyland, Frontierland, LibertySquare, Old Fantasyland. Then day 2 did Tomorrowland and Adventureland. We also went back to ride SM, POC and JC. It was super busy for our trip last summer but this worked well for us. However this was pre FP+.

Upon entrance we always head left on the train, getting off at frontier land. do the rides there are go clockwise. We frequent MK thought alot on our days in Disney and sometimes pick up where we left off. Definitely a park to do more than one day if possible:)

At least two days in MK. First day we are EXCITED, and high energy, and want to ride everything! We use a one day touring plan, and stick to it, riding everything we like, and moving fast around the whole park. On the second day we re-ride our very favourites and slow the pace down a bit. If we can squeeze in another half day or so we do. There is so much to see and do there!

I think I am in the minority because given two consecutive MK days I like to take my time at first. I made a 9:30 FP for belle, got there at rope drop and enjoyed a leisurely browse down Main Street, visited Mickey in town hall. I like to take in the atmosphere instead of jumping in and bee lining for rides. However we don't do the mountains and we haven't been there trying to hurry to see the frozen ladies or the mine train, last trip was last November.

We do go to fantasyland, and last time we ended up there as we skipped the fireworks. If you're willing to do that then there shouldn't be any lines for most rides! We had fantasyland to ourselves, sometimes literally! It was a really special moment for us, just going form ride to ride, meeting characters, etc. then we were in the Christmas shop when the second run of the electrical parade came by so be decided why not? And sat down. Only one line of guests, most characters interacted with my kids directly! Sometimes the best moments are unplanned.

Depends on my FP+.

But this trip we are going for 2 days and I more or less have the same plans for both days. Divide FP+ into must dos for 2 days, book me up as close to back to back as possible. Then spend that time strolling around and catching shows as I see fit. Of course leaving time for some foods.

My FP+ I'm hoping to book up the days based on location in the park.

Pixie dust and enjoy whatever way you choose.
