How do you think your kids behave?

My kids behave very well, apparently. I used to be surprised when teachers gushed about how good they were, because they seemed average to me. But the more I come into contact with other people's kids, the more I understand. I have quit teaching CCD, and expect to stop being a girl scout leader after this year because the kids have become so darn disrespectful. I am blown away by the way they act, and I can see why teachers appreciate my children, who were brought up to listen to adults in charge.

I'll take the fifth ... ... my child is a handful both at home and in public.

Then again, I don't live in Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.

Oh, add them to the good in public, wild at home list. They are always praised at school for behavoir and I have never had a note or negative comment from a teacher. In fact, they get praised in public all of the time.

I think it is because they are kind of shy.

And at home, they are kids.

I hear you about the standing and staring. We've been there!

My sweetpea is pretty well behaved. She has her moments and can give some 'tude when she feels like it. But for the most part, she is good. What I really like though is that when Im not around her, the people who are will tell me how great she was and what a joy it was to be with her. Thats when it counts. She may have issues with clearing the dishwasher, but when she is at someone elses place or with someone else, she is quite the little helper. I would rather have it that way. Dont get me wrong, I wish she was her perfect self all the time, but if not, then when she isn't in my presence is when I want her at her best. Thats when it counts.
