How Do You Think We Stay So Happy?*Final Thoughts & Farewells* 10/7 p100

We stopped at another kiosk that had all these cute, expensive, difficult to transport, Disney themed garden items.

IMG_2256.jpg

:rotfl: that is a pretty apt description of many Disney items. Although that is adorable. My mom is a big Tink fan, I know she'd love that!

All of the topiaries look so cute! That must be fun to see, extra Disney ambiance! :goodvibes

Isn't World Showplace the building between Canada and the UK? If that's it, they had the Pixar characters in there on the Pixar Weekend. Apparently, from what I found from a Google search, it's used during Food and Wine as well.

That hat was one great buy! It has gotten a lot of use at the pool and will see a lot of action at Vero next week!!!

BTW found the ring LOL or should I say Anita found the ring. Wasn't my size but with a little help from ring guards I LOVE MY NEW BLING LOL!!!!

Loved your EPCOT pictures MEK so gorgeous!!!! Fabulous update!!!

The cat shots are funny. I love Jen's cute hat! :thumbsup2

Aren't they? Who doesn't know one fat cat like that one?

I love Jen's hat. I bet she has it with her right now.

Lol at seeing that World Showplace sign!

I bet those dancers think that the entire world showcase IS the world showplace.

I can't wait to have some fun at them phone booths!

The phone booths were fun! It was great when the first phone rang. Seriously childish, but fun anyway. :thumbsup2

Yay on the character interaction!

That was a GREAT spot for characters. Never even knew it was there.

Great pictures ladies! Ok...the blood orange rita is on the list!! Hey, if I don't like, I'll try a different one!

Exactly! I figure when I go with Denny it will be like getting two ritas at once since we can share.

We will defiinitely be exploring Morocco a little more this next trip...your pictures are gorgeous! Can't wait to enjoy WS again...my fav thing to do at the World!

I will never tire of the World showcase. It was wonderful to be so close. It really feels different when it takes 2 minutes to walk there.

WOW, that was a lot of catching up I had to do!! You girls have been busy!!

We have been updating fools! I was afraid I would be doing all the updates on my own, so I am so happy to have everyone else join in. Love you guys!!!!

You all take fantastic photos, so much fun to enjoy them all- I love photography, too, but I don't have the patience to change lenses, etc, while I'm there too often. You are inspiring me to do that on my next adult visit.:goodvibes

Thank you! I actually didn't change lens much at all. I used the stock lens this time and I am happy I did. It was just fun taking pictures from a different perspective. I really do enjoy taking pictures. Sometimes I don't feel like it, but I know its always worth it to get that extra pix.

A few comments- Mek, I adore that tink bird bath- and I always think the same thing- too hard to lug home. I know, I know, it could be shipped, but who wants to pay for THAT? :rotfl: Maybe we should order it online-

Isn't that the cutest. And really - who DOES want to pay to ship that home. But looking at that picture makes me wish I owned that right now! I know just where i would put it.

You could NEVER be the F&G lady!!!
:rotfl: Thanks Ellen. I will consider that a compliment. But honestly, I would love one of those jobs where you can ride or walk around and just be generally obnoxious. It would be so good for my alter-ego that I have to suppress!

And the pic of Merry Old England? That's Kara's block!!:rotfl:

Somehow, I think there is a story behind that comment. :rolleyes1

Great pictures, MaryEllen. I love the "unsuspecting" one of your traveling pals (and cute hat, Jen).

I hope C is not mad at me for posting the telephone pix. I was supposed to have her sign a waiver first!

Jen's hat was perfect. So darn cute. Too bad I didn't take a close up of it!

I have a friend here on the DIS whose daughter was at Disney for that dancing performance. When I saw her in her dancer attire I could not believe the make-up the girls had on (and how do they keep it on in the heat?).

I think because they walk straight from their tour buses to the venue they are able to keep that makeup on. Funny - most of the groups I heard speaking were talking in Spanish. I was wondering if there were any Americans there.

World Showplace???? What the heck is that all about.

That was just the name for the venue where they held the dance competition. Sorry, I don't think I made that clear enough.

You found my favorite character spot! I ALWAYS go theren to get my picture with Pooh and Tigger (and sometimes Eeyore is there too).

I LOVED that character spot. I plan to be a repeat visitor. I so LOVE Eeyore! He's my favorite!

:rotfl: that is a pretty apt description of many Disney items. Although that is adorable. My mom is a big Tink fan, I know she'd love that!

Glad you like my description! Like I said to Ellen, I totally wish I had that bird bath now. It really was precious is a subtle way.

All of the topiaries look so cute! That must be fun to see, extra Disney ambiance! :goodvibes

It really it. I hope you and Wingnut get a chance to visit during F&G, being that it is your absolute favorite park and all!

Exactly. It's the picture of that big building that I posted where they held the dance competition. Again, I apologize for not making that clearer.

I do think they use it during F&W for some of the hard ticket events. I'm pretty sure I saw it in one of Lurkyloo's trip reports.

That hat was one great buy! It has gotten a lot of use at the pool and will see a lot of action at Vero next week!!!

I am so glad that hat is getting lots of use. I knew it would be and it looks so great on you!!!!!!

I hope you are having a wonderful time and I am so glad you checked in to our TR. Have tons of fun!!!!!!

T
BTW found the ring LOL or should I say Anita found the ring. Wasn't my size but with a little help from ring guards I LOVE MY NEW BLING LOL!!!!

I am SOOOOOOO glad, because I know that's exactly the one you wanted. Nothing wrong with a little ring guard action!

T!

Loved your EPCOT pictures MEK so gorgeous!!!! Fabulous update!!!

Thanks Jen! I am really happy with how some of the pix turned out. Ahhhh - the wonders of photo editing!

That's always a good spot to score on Pooh. Mary's quite often there too, so lots of interaction is always the norm.

Awww, too bad y'all missed out on Kate's repro rings.

Garden Gal is too funny! Interesting they have added a "Streetmosphere" flavor to F&G.

Dancers galore!! Big eyeshadow, big backpacks; guess they're living life large.

Took me a while to get around to it, but I finally sat down and read this whole thing. What a fun report! And what wonderful photos!

The last few updates sure have me jonesing for a WS stroll...

Melissa..live the fez hat picture!! :thumbsup2
If anyone needs any advice on the margaritas just ask away...we became experts by the end of the week :rotfl2:
Cute hat Jen!! Happy you finally found your ring :goodvibes I wore mine the other day pretending I was royalty.....or at the very least engaged :rotfl:

Tracy

Looks like you guys were having so much fun around the World Showplace (that is so weird...:rotfl:)! Great pictures, the Flower and Garden topiaries are so cute!

Love the pics with everyone and Pooh and Tigger! I never go back there to meet them, I always forget they are there! :confused3

That was an excellent spot. Really enjoyed it! I will be back, that's for sure.

Awww, too bad y'all missed out on Kate's repro rings.

I know. Several us really wanted one. But we ended up finding them later outside of England and Tracy got one. I guess I didn't want one too bad because by the time we saw them, I lost interest.

Garden Gal is too funny! Interesting they have added a "Streetmosphere" flavor to F&G.

I thought she was a hoot!!!! I want that job! I really do!

Dancers galore!! Big eyeshadow, big backpacks; guess they're living life large.

Really large! Especially with those eyes!

We saw this too, one night we were near it there were people going in, it looked like it was being used for a wedding.

I bet it makes a great venue for a wedding reception. I bet its really expensive to have a reception there. Hugely expensive, but probably so awesome.

Took me a while to get around to it, but I finally sat down and read this whole thing. What a fun report! And what wonderful photos!

Well, if this is your first time here (sorry I am so forgetful) then :welcome: I am so glad you are enjoying our TR and our photos. Definitely more stories to come!

The last few updates sure have me jonesing for a WS stroll...

I know it. I would love to be strolling around the world showcase right now!

Melissa..love the fez hat picture!! :thumbsup2

I love that pix, too! It's really great and I totally missed those hats.

:rotfl2::worship::rotfl2: to the margarita comment. I do know that you are definitely the expert! I am just a novice.

Cute hat Jen!! Happy you finally found your ring :goodvibes I wore mine the other day pretending I was royalty.....or at the very least engaged :rotfl:

Tracy

I love Jen's hat and I do really love the ring. It's so unique!

:rotfl2: to the engagement comment! That cracked me up!

Looks like you guys were having so much fun around the World Showplace (that is so weird...:rotfl:)! Great pictures, the Flower and Garden topiaries are so cute!

I'm telling you, those dancers probably think the world showcase and place are the same thing. Glad you are enjoying the topiaries. You should consider a spring time trip after you do your fall trip! :rolleyes1 (and that, my friend, is called enabling)

Love the pics with everyone and Pooh and Tigger! I never go back there to meet them, I always forget they are there! :confused3

Well, please remember when you are there in October so you and Brandon can get lots of cute shots! :thumbsup2

I love this TR! It makes me soo much more excited for our trip in september! Where can I find a copy of the menu for all the 'ritas? They sound delicious!

Just google "La Cava del Tequila" and they actually have their own website, which is really unusual for Disney.

When we emerged from the Cave we carefully considered our options. We were going to take a little boat ride with Donald, but the line looked long. So we vetoed that idea, vowing to come back later in the week? Did we? Well, I will be the first to admit that I did NOT. And I will admit that I am not exactly devastated over it.

I didn't make it back there (for that) either. While not devastated, I do like Donald so mildly sad probably applies. That line was crazy though, no way did I want to wait in that.

Hey Look - I managed a picture of the ladies when they weren't looking. Check out Jen's really cute hat. She just bought it moments before.

I look like the wicked witch of the west...yikes!

We stopped at another kiosk that had all these cute, expensive, difficult to transport, Disney themed garden items.

I was disappointed in the merchandise, really thought I'd end up with some cute little garden decoration and there just really wasn't as much, or the variety, that I was expecting.

The World ShowPlace sign. WT..........???????

The funniest part of that whole thing is it's this HUGE exhibition hall and none of us even knew it existed.

Towards the back of the store we hit character pay dirt. We walked right up. There was no one there.

Cynthia said our PP pictures just came in, so we don't have them yet to share. Hopefully they are better than these.

They are! I'll try to get them up tonight since at least I have them to share LOL:)

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

On another note, I had no idea the Cave had its own website. Pretty cool!

BTW - I forgot to originally say this, but you in no way look like the Wicked Witch of the West.

Love the update!!! Jen where did you buy that hat? Cute cute!!! I need a hat that doesn't look ridiculous and I love that one.
Tigger and Pooh in England? How long has that been going on?!?!? lol I will stalk them when I go in a few weeks.
That blue drink looks so good, might need to get one of those too....

Disney should give all of you gals a finders fee for all the free advertisements they are getting from you. Think of all the things we will be getting from seeing them on this TR!!! lol

The first black and white cat picture is MY cat! Of course his name is OREO. How unique huh??:rotfl2:

I love the pictures of you guys with Pooh and Tigger! So sweet! I love it when you time it just right like that! And those dancers were everywhere when I was there at the same time last year! There were little swarms of them all over the place! But I found most of them to be very friendly and polite.:) Not like some of the other tour groups you see....

I believe she bought it in the first kiosk we entered after leaving Mexico. It was definitely not in one of the regular stores. But if she reads this (she's in the world now), maybe she can see who makes it and you can google it.

Apparently for awhile, but since I'm not a character stalker I had no idea.

Definitely stop in the Cave. You will NOT regret it. The ritas are amazing. I don't think there is a bad one.

:rotfl: Why, yes, I think they should! ;) Or at least a few FP!

The first black and white cat picture is MY cat! Of course his name is OREO. How unique huh??:rotfl2:

 that's why I posted those pix. Everybody knows a cat that looks like that. Oreo - perfect name. I was just reading someone else's TR and they posted a pix of their Oreo!

We did have perfect timing! I was so happy, because overall we did not take a ton of PP pictures and I think that was our only character interaction. And I know my DH won't go near the characters in December, so that may be it for awhile!

Yes - the dancers I saw were very well behaved. As they should be since its the same as being on a sports team and they were representing their team and organization. Plus I think they perform at a very high level, so that makes them more poised and responsible.

I really like this photo MEK! :thumbsup2

:worship: Thank you! Sure enough it was a case of number dyslexia. Now I can call all three. Seriously - I did not know there were phone booths in Morocco and Germany. I did see one in Canada. Thanks for the new numbers. Now I have 5 phony, phone calls right at my finger tips.

Ok MEK! We may have to go back to that written consent for pictures idea! I'm making a beautiful face in this picture!! WOW! :lmao:

Well, so far I have a double chin, Cynthia looks the Wicked Witch of the West, and you are making a funny face. :rotfl: I guess we really all are not very good at having our pictures taken. And I haven't even heard from C, so I hope she's not boycotting our TR since I posted two pics of her in the phone booth.

I actually think you look really cute in your cute baby blue, salt on the b@@b, T-shirt!

Honestly, I don't have too many more pictures of all of us. Most of them at the group shots at meals.
