They have had this $69 sale from STL TO MCO for a few weeks now and it ends at Midnight tonight.

So I booked our flights, but could only get the 5:00 flight down and that bums me out cause we won't even get into Orlando till after 8:00 pm. :confused3
So I had been watching everyday for an earlier time to open up. Well most of the times had were unavailable for Sun May 28th..Even my time now...Then today I see the 2:05 flight was open!! :woohoo: I was so excited!! Then I go to change my reservation and it won't let me. So I call and the lady says Oh only 2 seats are available at that price and I have 3 on my ressie!! :sad2:

She says once they sell out they won't open anymore....>But I don't think that is true??? How can it be unavailable the whole 2 weeks and then all of a sudden they open up that time for 2 seats at $69.

Don't you think they release seats and different times when ever they feel like it and if they want to fill the planes????

I just can not figure out their system??? Sometimes the time and price is there and then an hour later it is not??? I am going to check every few hours and see if I get lucky..

Most likely they will start a new sale either tomorrow or next week..

Oh well I just had to vent...Has anyone else had luck changing flights as it got a little closer.

It I have to get down there late It is no big deal..Atleast I have my flights!

BabyJosie,

Sorry to hear about your delimma. Hopefully something will open up. I'll keep checking also. Good Luck!

Atleast I got a flight for that day and got a great price. :goodvibes It is just that I am taking my Nephew for his first trip every to WDW and I really wanted to be in town earlier... :wizard:

Oh well you can't have everything...I will keep watching though!!!

Thanks for the support...I love these boards...You guys understand!! My Co-workers get sick of hearing about my trip... :rolleyes1

SW is doing a better job, from their perspective, of limiting the number of discounted seats on flights that would otherwise sell at higher prices. Booking the first Saturday morning N/S flight is an example.

In your position I would have changed all 3 reservations, 2 at the lower price but bite the bullet and pay a higher fare for the third.

The chances of SW freeing up 3 seats at the same time is pretty low. Some people think cancellations go back in the fare bucket they were originally booked in and some people don't.

that is great idea...Do you think I should try it??

It still shows 2 seats for $69 and then the 3rd would be $164,but so I would owe only another $100??

That's what I'd do BUT normally the system picks the lowest fare that's available for all 3. I'd call SW and see if they can help you. Otherwise you might have to split your reservation.

One of us would have a seperate confirmation, but that is ok. I am just worried if I don't do this I will lose out.

We are flying on Memorial day weekend and you know those flights will fill up.

UGH! Decisions!! :confused3

What decision? If the flight opens up you can always change the third reservation and get a credit. If the flight doesn't open up you paid an extra $100 to get the flight you want.

If you know the flights will fill up then so does SW. Either spend the $100 or decide you'd rather save the money in exchange for the less desirable flight times.

It looks like your airfare will be averaging around $172 R/T. Do you really think you'll do any better around a holiday weekend?

:sad2:  :sad2: I thought ok since I am at work I will take care of this on my lunch at 11:00...Well wrong!! I should have just did it when I called earlier this morning..

When I called back one seat was gone and now there is only 1 seat left for $69.. :sad2: So I guess I will just wait it out now.

Who knows???? Even if I see something earlier for $99 I will switch it at this point.
I am such an idiot!!

Last year we did get a ding on April 9th and flew to Orlando at the same time for $49???? I don't expect to see that price, but I can keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for all the encouragement Lewisc...Wish I would have just did it when I had the chance.... :confused3
