How do you sweeten your coffee??

The more they find out about the fake sugars the more they are finding out they are bad for you. Best is to stick with minimally processed natural ingredients.

So true. Did you see the story today about erythritol? Yikes! Glad I stayed far away from that stuff. That Keto diet isn't turning out to be very healthy at all.

I like my coffee sweet (cannot drink it black). My father used to say to me "how about a little coffee with your sugar?"

For many years now I've used artificial sweetener (Truvia) and sugar free flavored coffee creamer. I'd like to rid myself of the artificial sweeteners, and use something more natural, but with zero calories. Does any such thing exist?
I use flavored syrups from Torani or Morin, with some half and half. (only the real sugar versions; we don't use HFCS here) My current favorite is 2 pumps French vanilla, 1 pump Shortbread, and 1 pump Cinnamon syrups.

There are lots of sugar free versions out there.

I didn’t drink coffee until I was 30. At first black and then with Equal. Then I gave it up. Now it makes me feel sick if I drink it.

I drink coffee with Almond Milk (unsweetened) 99% of the time.

I used to add sugar in my coffee and espresso years ago. It can be done and eliminated all together. Just have to start decreasing the amount you normally use every day or two/slowly.

It's worth a shot. I cannot drink coffee with sugar anymore. Cannot take the taste.

Good luck and I hope you find something that works for you.

I've given up sugar in my coffee for Lent. I tapered down for a few weeks vs going cold turkey. I add oatmilk and it provides a nice creamy, almost nutty flavor.

Interesting. I used splenda for many years. But when I found out I'm diabetic my Primary Care Doctor says it's worse than sugar for me. Messes with your stomach bacteria.
Never heard that.
I am diabetic and have used Splenda for many, many years and have no problems and PC and endocrinologist have said nothing bad about it

Normally I drink mine black, but sometimes I may crave some sweetness, and when that happens I use Splenda.

I’m going to second this. I drink my coffee with a little half and half and no sugar.

I used to put sugar in my coffee, but a few years ago I was trying to cut down on sugar and it seemed like the spoonful in my coffee was a good place to start. I put less and less in over time, and it’s now sugar free. Sugar in my coffee now tastes way too sweet and I don’t know how I ever drank it that way.

And for the record, I do have a sweet tooth. So the fact that coffee with sugar is now too sweet is not something I ever thought I’d say.

Drink mine strong and black and only hot no iced. Sometimes if I'm drinking a stronger hot tea like Irish breakfast I'll use truvia and a tad of 2% milk or honey and no milk.

I can't help with an artificial sweetener because I'm trying to eliminate those (though I still relapse in my diet soda addiction from time to time) but I have found that with coffee, a little flavored creamer cuts way down on if not entirely eliminates the need for sugar. Yes, I know the creamers are sweetened too - I use a "natural" one that is half-and-half with cane sugar and natural vanilla - but it is still a net reduction in sugar because now that's the only sweetener I'm using, while if I drink my coffee without cream I am a "would you like some coffee with your sugar?" over-sweetener.

I have never had a cup of coffee.

My coffee intake comes in dessert from, usually ice cream.

Saw that on the news last night. The monk fruit sweetener I use has that in it, so I need to go back to Stevia or something without erythritol in it. I don’t bake with it, just use it to sweeten an occasional cup of decaf in the afternoon or evening, but still will stop using it.

For my first cup of coffee in the morning I use a flavored creamer, then just black after that.

Just here to say God bless you. Literally. I am trying to get off the sugar bandwagon. Doing so gradually,
