I dont post much im a long time lurker though.

I know i should be grateful that im going to WDW, but i haven't been since September 2010 due to us buying our own house.

We booked about a year ago and up until a few weeks ago i was excited, but now i've got to the point where i want to go right now!!

I know i sound really spoilt, Im just wondering how everyone else manages to stay chilled in the last few weeks/months before going to WDW.

Thanks guys.

I just think if I was going now then in a couple of weeks time it would all be over! :rotfl: Its best to be looking ahead and be excited up until it comes then for it all to be over.:)

Like others said planning!

We watch videos on YouTube and talk about everything we miss and can't wait to do again.

How do you stop yourself from becoming impatient?

I'm getting myself frozen in a cryogenics tube several months before, and I only get "thawed" the morning I'm due to fly to Florida.

:rotfl:

There is something nice about it not actually being here. It is 2 weeks away for us and I can't wait but as soon as we leave the house on the way, it is ticking. So enjoy the 'looking forward to it' bit

I agree that part of the fun is the waiting

Love the build up, love the planning. Keep busy looking for new things to see and do when we get there.

Im in exactly the same position as you! We last went in september 2010 aswell and we booked over a year ago... We now have a few months left where im actually [pleased we have then because this yr our savings was spent on
1 £2000 fixing a car as told the problem was small only to have it done and it still not to work:furious: anyways after spending out £2000 to fix the car we had to buy a new one! Grrrr

2 The forces cancelled Dh leave and so we had to fork out nearly £1000 more for flights on another date.

SO im actually pleased its not here just yet as i need more spending money :rotfl: and to pay for Universal park tickets.........

I am however driving the family nuts with Disney talk :)

My dad always used to tell us when we were kids that the best part of a holiday was the looking forward to it as that part always lasted the longest.

So now I've taught myself to enjoy the pre-holiday and as PP have said plan, plan, watch youtube, plan, plan, post on Disboards, look at the Disney website oh and did I mention do some planning :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am a nightmare before we go away. DH can't get me to stop planning and worrying that I have missed something. You would think we have never been before :rotfl:

DH just leaves me to it and I get to make all the plans. So in order to get him more excited I have just ordered him some of his favourite chocolate bars (milkyway midnight bars) and some root beer that he loves. It was not cheap but its nice to treat him.

Good luck with all your plans. :goodvibes:goodvibes

planning, posting on boards, packing, work zzzz and watch a different disney movie every night for the 30 days before you go :)

Like you we've always had long waits between WDW holidays and have always booked really early for our trips.

I have found each time that about 2 months away the excitement just evaporates. But it does come back a couple of weeks before we travel. So hopefully the same will happen for you.

Have a fun time at WDW it WILL soon be here. :)
