My T@B is technically considered a Travel Trailer. (Don't feel bad, most of the RV parks don't even know what a T@B is :rotfl: )

A Tab is the byproduct of putting a full size travel trailer on a diet back in the 70's and this is what happens. I just had to make a Tab joke since most people associate it with the drink lol. I've seen Carol's set up last year and it is a cool little deal. She had a neat site along with it.

We will be using our TT for our First Trip to the Fort in October.

Before this TT we had a 1972 Winnebago Brave. I was going to refurbish the inside and engine and use it for much longer but then Hurricane Charley hit and we ended up giving it to a friend who needed someplace to sleep while their house was being rebuilt.

That Winnie was so cute though. I loved the porch light it had and I don't see them on any of the newer models. It also had a lot of other cute design features that I loved.

We will upgrade to a MH when I retire many years from now but we hope to keep our current TT until then.

We have a 5ver. Which I enjoy it 22ft with a slide and I can't wait to go to the Fort with in October! I just enjoy being at the Fort!

I voted 5er because that is what I have been using for the past few trips. But our new TT toy hauler (to haul our personal carts to FW) should be here in 2 1/2 weeks and that will be going on our next trip. How ever I have stayed in tents, pop ups, TT, 5er, and the cabins all at FW. :woohoo:

21' Travel Trailer. I'd love to get a bigger one, but I don't think anything longer will fit in our driveway (tight, uphill turn).

I've got no problem with diesel (F250 PSD), because the first season I towed with a '87 F350 dually with a 460cuin + 4 barrel carb. Averaged 6-7mpg, towing, empty, highway, didn't matter. I now get double that, 13mpg, with the F250.

21' Hybrid TT. April will be our first trip to the fort in it! WAHOOO :yay:

Well technically Sept/Oct will be our first time staying at the Fort, but we will be using our 2006 18' Fleetwood Mallard. Small, but perfect for us.

After 20 years in a TT, graduated to a MH 2 years ago. Loved our Airstream, but wouldn't want to go back. But would like to win a lottery or Publisher's Clearing House so we could pay it off!

We have done the popup before. Next year we are hoping to be able to use our HTT when we go down. Otherwise we will be pretenders and stay at one of the onsite hotels and goto the fort and loop with a cart like last time.

I said tent. DH & I stayed in the cabins for a w/e in 2003, but this trip this w/e will be a tent. Along w/ future trips in the near future until the economy picks back up & we can get our mortgage under control (see Useless thread).

But seriously, I love our tent & can't wait to get to the Ft. on Thursday!:goodvibes :goodvibes :cool1: :cool1:   :woohoo: :woohoo:

We have been staying in our Class C but this year we will be staying in our new Class A.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

5th wheel for me!

We had a travel trailer with bunks on each side awhile back and then started cruising instead. Now that we wanted to get back into camping we were fortunate enough to be able to get a 5th wheel. No slide outs, but we never had them before anyway and geeze what a huge difference in space we have now! We actually have a full kitchen and a queen size bed among other things. Camping life is good, now if gas prices would just behave themselves, life would be great!

What's wrong with a horse trailer? I've seen them and know people who haul there's to the fort. It's kind of like me having a toy hauler 5'er combo in my eyes. My aunt has an Exxis with living quarters, slide and all that she paid 56,000 for. Twice what I paid for my 5'er lol. The thing is really nice inside and out. I've heard of the boat people and I do have to agree that is a little different. Some horse trailers though are as nice if not nicer than an RV. When we were at the fort in April we saw a nice horse trailer in the 300 loop over by Bradisgoofy.

Donnie -

I would stay in a horse trailer only if it were thouroughly scrubbed out and definitely minus the horse!!:rotfl2:

There was one at FtW once that we called the "house of ill repute", because although it was truly a horse trailer, it had been converted somehow & had 4 motor home style doors down one side with porch lites at each door - housing red light bulbs! I kid you not!!

Our first trip was in our 36' Carriage fifth wheel, the last two in our Fleetwood Expedition 36' class A motorhome. ( click on link in signature line for pictures )
