xmas eve: Chinese restaurant for lunch, then go see a movie.

xmas day: wake up early, see what santa brought, breakfast of egg casserole, cinnamon rolls, banana bread, sliced oranges. Later we have a big dinner with some of the extended family. This is all at my house so it's a pretty busy day for me.

Christmas Eve: I have to work until 6:30 and then heading over to my inlaw's house to do presents and have dinner.
Christmas Day: Church at 10 and then over to my parent's for lunch. We don't have kids on my side of the family so presents aren't really a huge thing. I have a tiny family and I'm the youngest at 23 so Christmas is more of a meal and talking kind of thing.

Christmas Eve
The i laws usually arrive around 3. Christmas Eve is Mexican food night. I'm making chicken fajitas, queso dip and margaritas. DH, MIL and me will go to mass at 8. FIL will stay home with sleeping baby DD. Maybe swing by some light displays afterward.

Christmas Day
Looking forward to DD finding her first Christmas morning as a walking, exploring kid (1.5 years old).
Sausage Balls for breakfast. First time making them so hopefully they are okay! Mimosas for mom and dad Open presents. My parents will probably arrive around lunch time. We will all have honey ham and a pile of desserts for lunch. We will visit until my parents leave for naps and everyone crashes.

Eve.....been up and got the cookie tray done, DGD's muffins made (dairy free), made the 2 egg casseroles to pop in the oven in the morning, decorated a cake for DGD.
Need to clean upstairs when DH gets up, do some laundry, get the meat out of the freezer and prep the sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes ready for the crockpot.
DD, DS, DDIL and DGD will arrive early afternoon. Subway and/or Port of Subs for dinner. Chips and cookies.
Go walk around the neighborhood to look at lights
They will spend the night. New pjs and one present opened of their choice.
Up....see what Santa brought, go through stockings, let people play or watch TV while breakfast is cooked.
Eat while opening presents.
Play with whatever we get for Christmas and maybe some games.
Dinner and then DS, DDIL and DGD will go back home. DD is spending the night to go shopping on Monday

When I was younger, Christmas Eve was seafood dinner. We also got to open one present early. My parents were not ones to let us stay up late, though.

Christmas morning was always painful for us. We weren't allowed to open presents until after Christmas mass. My dad would take extra long to get ready in the morning (to this day, I think he did it on purpose). Then it was off to church, which was really long and boring. Then when we got home, we had to wait for our parents to go "ok" to open anything. It was torture. lol

Christmas Eve- DH And I work all day (retail family) then dinner out at an Italian restaurant with my sisters family, her in laws and some friends. Dinner will last hours, then its back to my sisters house for dessert.
Christmas Day- now that the boys are grown, we'll have a lazy morning opening presents, watching the Disney parade on tv and a breakfast of Mickey waffles, bacon, eggs and cinnamon rolls
Early afternoon it's off to my sisters house, we take my brother home from his group home and open presents with him, he's always excited to see what Santa brings, then it's a big Italian dinner, that will last for hours, followed by watching videos from when the kids were little, maybe some games, a huge dessert then home to crash before it's back to work for the post Christmas craziness

We'll have Christmas for the four of us today. DD18 isn't up yet! Probably presents yet this morning, then chicken & noodles for lunch. Hopefully we'll get DH to play games this afternoon. I'll start playing pre-service music at church about 5:30, with children's program at 6. My girls are singing a duet. I think we'll go to my parents afterwards and wait for the 10 pm candlelight service. DH will think that's too late to be out though.

In the morning the kids will have their "Santa" gifts, and we'll go to the in-laws for lots of presents and food. The girls have 3 younger cousins on that side and they have a lot of fun. We already did my side a couple weeks ago.

We finish up wrapping presents.
Then we go to Christmas Eve church at 4pm.
We have "snack night" where we make lots of dips and other snack type things.
On Christmas we just get dinner ready and chill.
Before dinner the kids/teens open presents.
After dinner the 30 somethings open gifts.
If there is time the elders open gifts otherwise they are content to open them the next evening.

I plan on hanging out in my pjs watching movies all day today until it's time to have appetizers and open presents tonight.

Tomorrow it's Santa presents and stockings in the morning. We eat in the afternoon. Probably more movies.

Lasagna supper tonight with DH, 4 DGD's, DS#3, former DIL and her DH.

Christmas Dinner with DH, DS#3, DS#2 and his wife and kids, then drive 15 miles to DS#2 house with gifts.

I spend the day of Christmas Eve cooking and cleaning up - closer to suppertime we have alot of appetizers and afterwards open gifts - my husbands family has always opened gifts on Christmas Eve so he wanted to do it then.

When we are home and it's just us: Christmas Day is whatever - nowadays the kids (21 and 17) get their stockings and disappear in their room until I call them to eat - my husband and I usually pull out whatever Christmas Blu-Rays we haven't watched yet and watch a few.

DH, DS23 and myself go to my dads about 4. We cook dinner at his house. We supply Christmas Eve dinner which is honey made ham and all the sides. Tomorrow we will head back over to my dads for presents and dinner that he does. Dad is 81, still in good health but since my mom passed away (3rd Christmas without her), he wants to stay at his house, as we traditionally did. We open gifts with the 3 of us Clhristmas morning.

Christmas Eve day was always just like any other day. The evening was spent get ready for Santa (while my kids were with their dad).

Christmas Day was Santa, Breakfast, presents, my parents for dinner.

This year (since we are not celebrating anymore):
Christmas Eve will be spent drinking lots of beer, my new hobby is trying new to me beers. Today is of course Christmas themed.

Christmas Day plans are still up in the air but if all goes well will be movies & Chinese food with a friend. Otherwise I might go to the movies by myself.

I'm Hispanic and our Christmas is actually on Christmas Eve. We all get together and eat, drink, hang out, party, play games. Open gifts at midnight. Get home around 2-3 am.

Christmas morning the kids open our gifts and Santa gifts. Christmas Day is spent relaxing and eating leftovers.

I'm spending the day finishing up the wrapping and preparing food for tomorrow, and doing laundry. We will order Chinese or pizza tonight, and after that the kids will open their Christmas Eve PJs and we'll watch some Christmas movies.
Tomorrow we will get up earlier than I want, open presents, then eat breakfast. My dad will come in the early afternoon for and we'll just hang out watching A Christmas Story and basketball or football. I have no idea what time we are eating dinner, I guess whenever we feel like it.
We will see my family on Monday, then my IL's on Tues or Wed, and then the rest of dh's family over NYE weekend.

Right now, it's football! Go Pat's!!!

This evening will be Church, then son, DIL & grandson will be over for munchies, a movie and presents.

Tomorrow DH and I will open our stockings, then other DS and BF will be over for Chinese food lunch, presents etc...then off to my mom's for food, family, Yankee Swap and games!

We are going to see Moana today with my SIL ans her partner. They are then coming back her for gift exchange and appies. Once the kids are in bed I need to finish up a bit of wrapping while I most likely watch a movie.

In the morning we open presents and have breakfast. Later on my brother and family come over for Christmas dinner and presents. Luckily DH does the cooking.

Eve - Midnight Mass

Day - Watch The Snowman, eat Christmas Lunch, spend some time with the family :)

DH ends up working many Christmas Eves & Christmas Days, so, on the years he is scheduled to work on Christmas Day, we have our "family" Christmas on whichever one of his off days is closest to 12/24 or 12/25.

So, on *our* Christmas Day (whatever day it is on the calendar), we wake up & see what Santa brought & open presents & stockings. For breakfast, we have orange cinnamon rolls & bacon. After a little bit, DH & I start prepping & cooking for our Christmas Day dinner - we invite my parents & his parents to join us, & we normally have a huge "themed" dinner.

This year, however, we did something different, & we went to the beach last week for our "family" Christmas, & it was wonderful!!

Christmas Eve early afternoon is w/ DH's side of the family, & usually Christmas Eve early evening is spent w/ my side of the family. However, this year, we had Christmas w/ my side of the family yesterday.
