ok so all of you with young kids please help as i have been at work this morning at 6.30am and hubby needs to be up at 4 tomorrow and my kids r still on florida time and wide awake. whats my chances of going to sleep anytime tonight? we got back yesterday

First week is a nightmare - always!

The key is to eat your meals at the correct time for the time zone you are in. So don't go eating breakfast cereal at noon for example. Ideally you should start this from when you get to the airport to fly home. I failed to do this last year and we paid for it big time the whole week we after we got home. I hope you get some sleep

well we are having supper now when we should be sleeping so maybe we have failed that. my little one is playing with cars and my dd is playing on my hubbys ipod i'm thinking we are not gonna get them to bed anytime soon. we did put them to bed and dd is still there but monster boy is down as he's hungry and really not sleeping. it was easier going as we just got up early and made rope crop easily

It is hard, I think it actually only took my littles ones three or four days, but they were loooonnnnngggg days!! :scared1: They will be back to normal before you know it. x

:goodvibesWe got back last Friday and my two are back to normal now. We found that trying to get back into routine was the most important thing. We got them up at normal time, even though we were all exhausted and put them to bed at 7pm (they are 4 and 5) also meals at right times too.

The only night we had trouble was Saturday when DD decided that she was getting up at midnight, I just shut my bedroom door and left her to get on with it, she went back to sleep eventually and then I still got her up at normal time - that didn't go down very well I can tell you!

Hope you get sorted! :goodvibes

hope they're starting to get back to UK time now - our last trip was the worst and it took a week for the children (and me )to get back to normal - DH didn't seem to be affected by it at all.

We usually get home around 11am and then grab a couple of hours in bed and then try to stick to the correct time for everything but we skipped the nap last time and I think that's why it took so long.

We got home a week ago today and think we are still struggerling to get back into the routine - oh has been fine as he went back to work the day after but dd 20 months is taking a little longer and i cant seem to sleep when i go to bed as she is waking at 10pm thinking she hungry as its dinner time so i am staying awake *** i know shes going to wake!!!! Last night was better so i am hoping tonight will be the same... good luck!
