How do you qualify for free airport transportation?

I'm just wondering if you only need to be a resort guest to take advantage of this or if you must purchase a package to get free hotel transportation to and from the airport? TIA!

When I booked our rooms for Sept/Oct at WL I just had to provide my flight info and CM said it was all set. The funny thing was that they didn' offer it the first time I set my ressie, only after I made a change and asked did they do it(with no problem)...
 
How?

Book any room or any package at a Disney resort. Make a reservation for Magical Express at least 10 days in advance of arrival.

(Note: Shades of Green, Swan, Dolphin, Bonnet Creek, and the hotels just beyond Downtown Disney are not included.)

Also note: Some airlines do not participate. You still get the ride from Orlando Airport to Disney but you have to fetch your luggage yourself.

Also note: Your written reservation should state "Magical Express", not "Mears". A company named Mears provides the buses and drivers but they also have other airport to Disney transportation that is not free.

Everything else I have read says that Disney will transport your luggage TO the resort regardless of the airline.

It is just on the return you have to haul your own if you are not on a participating airline

Just a quick tip. Wait until close to your vaction to book. I called when I first booked the flight and Jet blue changed to another time, 50 minutes later. I called to correct my booking and you guessed it Song sent me an email to change my flight to 1/2 hour earlier. I made a note on my calendar to call them 3 weeks out to confirm both times to make sure if there are anymore changes I dont have to call back. Less long distance calls. And I always call from my cell phone on weekends or after 7pm so it is free calls.
