How do you prepare scrambled eggs?

I remember when I was a kid I used to take home children's cookbooks and the had a recipe for scrambled eggs where they added a little milk to make the eggs light and fluffy. I just scramble them good with a little salt and pepper and I like to cook them in butter. DH uses oil which I don't like as much.

For me, I just scramble the eggs and cook. MIL adds milk and I don't really like them. I'm not sure why you would add milk. It just dilutes them.

I put a little half-and-half in them along with a drizzle of olive oil.

Makes them fluffier.

I crack them in a cup, beat them with a fork, add salt and pepper, and cook them in a wonderful cast iron omelette pan with a little bit of melted butter. I prefer them soft scrambled. MY mother made hers with milk and cooked them until they were starting to brown. YUK!

How did I know you would be the first one to reply to this thread? lol Let's see how your new friend Shirley would do it, or would that be left to husband # 5, who must be on the horizon by now?

Shirley is more of a Willy friend than mine. I've seen her around, but have really not gotten involved in her shenanigans for the most part.

Fried in bacon grease ;p

When i do scramble, I usually just use butter, but will sometimes add a splash of milk.

Just eggs (no milk or water) with a little butter in pan. Cook low and slow, folding often with a little salt, pepper, and Old Bay!

I was taught to make them with milk, which does seem to make them a bit runny. Until Alton Brown told me to use butter only on his old show. Can't remember the name of it, but I loved that show. And I really hate to cook. So scrambled eggs with buttered pan for me only now. :-)
