Main room stay is paid by our dvc points. If I stay at another resort for a few days, it's paid for before we go. Put down the cc for room charging, usually my dh's corp. Amex card. I have money set aside, in my checking acct., to pay his bill when it comes in. I try to budget about $100 a day for the three of us. Sometimes it's a little more, sometimes a little less.

Make ressies very early-July '03 for our Oct trip. Then pay off the hotel before arrival. When the discounts are finally released, the credit is left on the room. I use our DisneyVisa dollars to add to that. After all is said and done, we'll have a couple hundred on the card when we get home. Our trip will be around $5,000, so I'll take that.

Do you allow people to finance that purchase, charging a fair interest rate for the buyer, yet allowing you to make a profit?

Since I am not from the U.S. and do not have a bank account there, I need to make sure I have access to enough funds.

I primarily use credit cards - they are easier and safer than carrying around a lot of cash. However, if I'm splitting meals with friends or buying inexpensive snacks, then I do use cash.

I take a fair amount of traveler's cheques with me too in case the credit cards don't work at some point in the trip (sometimes the system is down or whatever). I don't always use the cheques - I travel often enough that I will bring them home and use them for another trip if I haven't needed them. If I need cash I will pay for something small with a big cheque and get back change, or if there's a bank nearby at the time I'll just cash them.

We charge everything back to our room which is linked to our debit card. DH hates credit card debt  . I'll probably carry abourt $300 in cash next as well for vendors, tips, mousekeeping, etc.

We use cash for all of our meals and snacks. We use our debit card for all our other purchases.

Charge everything I can on the Disney VISA so I can rack up Disney Dream Reward Dollars for my maintenance fees on our DVC membership! Pay it all off with the $$ in the Vacation budget fund when the bill comes.
I've only got one DD (14), so I wouldn't get too far going that route. She is pretty great though, so she'd probably fetch a lot of dough!

We charge everything, but we use our Visa check card so it comes out of our account.

I use cash for everything.

We are DVCers, so we don't have to pay for a room. (Well, we do, but you know what I mean) Before we bought into DVC, I had the room paid for before we arrived. When I used a travel agent, I would pay some towards our balance, each pay period, until it was paid off.

We don't rent a car.

I pay for our airline tickets when I buy them, with a credit card, then pay it off when the bill comes.

I pay for our park passes with a credit card, then pay that off also.

I take cash down for everything we buy. If it's the two of us, DH and I, I take $100 a day. If our kids go, I take $200. We always come home with money leftover.

We charge everything possible because we have a rewards card. But I always pay off my balance every month, so I am always aware of how much I'm spending.

All our vacation expenses are paid for with Disney Dollars and our bank card, so it's basically all cash. We do not charge ANYTHING. This is also why we don't go to WDW any sooner than every 15 months. It's just a really big expense to try to save for.

Last year, we had over $700 in Disney Dollars and the rest of our expenses came from my checking and saving accounts. I use my bank check card as the charge card on file at WDW. I use the room key for almost all purchases. We carry about $50 in Disney Dollars for the cart vendors and the balloon guy. Staying on property is the only way to go....it makes all the purchases really simple and safer than swiping your credit card over and over again. Maggie

well, are you talking about room charges?

we charge everything to the room. i hate having to carry cash around. what if i lose it? i would rather lose a room card, and have a new one issued, then to lose cash or my check card.

we charge the souveniors, meals, etc. to the room.

I had to choose other, we do a room only reservation and I pay that off in increments prior to the trip. We use AP's and or PH passes for admission - again paid for prior to the trip.

I leave my visa with the front desk as we pay the balance off monthly. Then we charge 99% of the rest to the room charge as it is convenient to carry and easy to use in the parks and most of all very easy to replace if lost. I carry some cash for the carts and quick purchases as well.
