How do you make your reservations?

For tough to get ADRs, is it better to just check online constantly throughout the day, or have you all had better luck calling reservations every day or so?

Of course this is in addition to stalking the month by month cancellation thread

Well, I usually check as often as I can, but lately that is about twice a day! I also check right at 45 days out from the date I want.. and then more closer to the date I get!

I figured I'd do a little experiment with this. When I first made my reservations (hotel, DDP, park tickets) I was able to get some great reservations right away. Not great times but great ressies. Since then whenever I've called I've had zero luck calling a few times a week, but I've found that if I check online every day (or 2x a day) I've had better luck. Times still aren't ideal but at least I'm not wasting 30 min on the telephone!
