How do you make your personalized T-shirts?

I really would like to make my own t-shirts for my upcoming trip but I have absolutely NO IDEA where to start!

I have a few ideas of what I want from this formum but I was wondering if anyone used any online t-shirt sites and how was your experience with those companies?

Never used any online sites but I do know you can create your own on Avery.

Thanks! When you make your own through Avery, do they hold up good after you wash them?

what do you mean by online t-shirt sites - to buy blank tees (like you'd find in Wal-mart, Michaels, the Dollar Tree and other places?) or to have the vendor make the custom tee shirt for you?????
