We got rid of our cat a year ago but we never fully mastered the litter box that doesn't smell like a litter box. We used clumping litter, scooped daily, washed the entire box every month or so, added fresh litter in between, etc. She always had dry food and I changed it over and over trying to find one that didn't make her poop smell so horrible and/or make her throw up all the time. What we figured out about the throwing up was she was just eating so much so fast, even though food was always available, that she was making herself sick. That cat drove me BONKERS!

I got her from a friend who had to move and after 2 years, I'd had enough and had to give her away. I miss her though. She was BEAUTIFUL! Pure white with one green eye and one blue eye. Her name was Bella. She was so affectionate, sweet, cuddly, pretty. However, she was a shedder. I still have cat hair on the chair she slept on all the time. We have vacuumed, brushed, lint rollered...everything. I want a new kitty, but DFi says no because we don't have an out of the way place for a litter box.

I don't care how much of a Budget Board this is. Once you get over the sticker price shock and get one yourself, you will not be sorry. I got mine at Amazon since they have free shipping AND I could return it if I didn't like it. (Not a problem there. )

I noticed another person mentioned the "Breeze" system. We just got it about a month ago and it is AWESOME!! I hated the ammonia smell and it isn't even an issue anymore. You just switch the pad from the bottom once or twice a week and scoop out the top which is really easy. Love it!
