How do you keep warm

Not even winter and I feel like I am going to freeze to add in the house as well dh likes to keep it cold.

I just set the heat to a good temperature and usually during the winter I'll wear some sweats once I get home from work. Add on some fuzzy socks, hot coco and I'm set. I'll let the house stay on the cooler side since its more comfortable for me.

Outside: Waterproof winter boots, jeans, layers, sweatshirt, good coat, scarf, hat, gloves.


Inside: If your hubby keeps the heat low (smart to save $$), wear sweats, socks, and keep a throw blanket handy.


I'm glad I don't get cold like that. I LOVE having my apartment on the chilly side and I love the wintertime weather! There are predictions of some crazy snowstorms this winter!! Can't wait!!!!

I turn the heat / air conditioner up when DH isn't home.

If it's chilly in the winter (our family room doesn't heat well), I have been known to wear my robe over my clothes. If I'm on the couch, I use a blanket.

In summertime I sit outside and soak up the heat then return to the frozen A/C

In winter time Layers of clothing, baking, gas fireplace will make the room like 90

Hot drinks even if its just hot water with lemon.

I hate the cold too!!!!

Fixing being cold is easy, sweater or blanket.

Fixing being too warm is a lot harder.

Hopefully by Halloween we can turn off the A/C

DH and DD are both very warm bodied. They give off waves of heat. It is crazy. Me? I am almost always cold. Like shivering cold.

What I do is have a lot of throw blankets so I can always grab one. I dress in layers. My Disney hoodies are my best souvenirs. I keep one in the living room and one on the back of my computer chair.
I eat soups for breakfast and lunch. I don't care for too many breakfast foods so this works for me. I will also drink hot tea if I start getting cold and am already layered up. I also have lots of funky socks to keep my feet warm. Though I do need new slippers this year.
I also keep an extra blanket by the bed so if I get cold in the middle of the night I can just grab it.

I know how you feel. At times, when it's really cold, I'll get pain in my pinky joints and sometimes in my knees. I have arthritis, though, so that's probably why.

My DH gave me the deluxe snuggie as an upgrade from by regular snuggie and I love it. Best gift ever lol I'm too cool or cold all the time.

It's still close to 100 degrees here so it's hard to think about cold weather.

OP, have you ever looked into Cryoglobulins? A possible shot in the dark.

I also hate the cold (as I get older!). I have a warm fuzzy blanket that seems to make me warm. Good luck!
