How do you get to Chef Mickey's...

from Wilderness Lodge?

Our family has an 8am ADR at Chef Mickey's. Will the boat take us there or do you recommend the bus or take a private vehicle?

We just did this the other week. The boat that goes to the contempory starts at 7:30 I beleive. Once at the contempory go through main entrance and keep to your left to the elevators to the 4th floor.

Yes, the boat can take you there.

If you're driving in, you'll pass the Contemporary (on your right) on your way to WL.

The WL is before the CR (so you don't pass the CR) when you are driving to WL.

The boat that goes to the contempory starts at 7:30 I beleive.

The boat starts before 7AM.

We took a cab from Old Key West when we had an early morning at Chef Mickeys.

There are early morning breakfast busses that start running about 6:30AM for another option. For CM, take the MK bus.

The boat is a really quick ride, it's literally a hop skip and a jump away.

Once inside the CR you can either take the elevator to the 4th floor or you can take the escalator. You'll have to go up twice on the escalator.

Have fun!! And I wouldn't worry too much if you are a few minutes late, we were REALLY late when we were there in September (about 15 - 20 minutes) because we couldn't figure out how to turn the shower on in our room. LOL The showers at the CR were too contemporary for us. LOL Once the front desk helped us get the shower going we rushed on down for breakfast. They had no problem seating us late.
