I see my pattern clearly, I stay on plan all week long cause I have my routine. The friday night comes and it's all over! Till Monday that is.
You know parties, family events, yadda yadda yadda...............
how do I stop this maddness! I feel like my weAkends are a free for all!

I have the same problem. All I can say, I do the best that I can and make sure to get in my steps! I also allow myself 2 treats. When I get a snack attack on the run, I allow myself to go to starbucks and get a skinny latte (90 calories) and 4 bucks!:scared1: Then on Sunday i allow myself a real treat like ice cream or dessert. I just keep telling myself if you are good, you get a treat and it seems to work most of the time.

Renee, great question. I just read a short article about just this thing.

In there it was suggested that a plan should be formed based on what you expect to occur. If you are going to a party/gathering, plan for how you will eat or eat healthy before and stay away from those bad things. (easier said than done but I think I need to try)

Also suggested was to plan in activity, any movement with family or just yourself over the weekend.

I'm always trying to get a handle on it. Never give up.

We can do this!

I have the exact same problem!

I don't know what "plan" you are on but, I'm doing WW. I try to save most of my bonus pts for the weekend or if there is an event I know I will be going to. That way I don't have to deprive myself if there is something there I really, really want a "taste" of.

Biggest problem for me is I get off-schedule on the weekend. I get busy doing something and it is noon before I realize that I haven't eaten. So, I wind up eating a bit more thinking it will be ok.

Here it is, a Friday afternoon and another weekend to get through. I too find them very difficult indeed. Mostly because eating around 1400 calories a day is so b-o-r-i-n-g! But there just isn't any other way I know of to lose the weight, lol. However, by Sunday night, I am absolutely so pleased and proud of myself! The weekdays are hard enough, but when I make it through another weekend and have kept my commitment, I am very, very happy. Best wishes to all. :)

I too tend to get off of my planned meals and planned exercise on the weekends but here's something I learned at a recent WW meeting: ask for help!!!

I now tell my husband things like "dont let me go to bed without doing my hour of cardio" or "please check my food journal at the end of Sat and Sunday and if I havent done them then I owe you a massage." It definately helps me stay on track at a time thats easy to go off course.

Good luck!
