Yes, what she said....and get your post count up. Only 400 - ish posts in a year will not get you one any faster. I didn't get one until well over 1k and then got 2 w/in 24 hrs. ALthough, one was someone else's and I got it.

SOmeone has a scrolling one and others have smilies in theirs..those are really cool.

and I said something, not thinking that the tag fairy would notice me.

IMO, TF wants unique, genuine comments for tagging material.

Asking for a tag, or talking about one isn't as fun material for TF to use.

True, and alot has to do with right place, right time. You can say tons of clever things, but TF may not be around to witness it.

I've said lots of stuff hoping it would be witty enough for a tag but I was always caught by surprise which makes each tag very special.

I think the Tag Fairy is stubborn and doesn't like to do it when she is asked or begged. Although I have seen her grant wishes on occasion.

Well i've been around since 1999. Lurked for awhile, lost posts in a crash, even started out with web tv before my adult children talked me into trying a computer. I guess i'm just to Beautifull and Smart for the tag fairy . susan

Tags are purely whims - something that strikes us as funny or special.

Number of posts have nothing to do with it, especially after we realized that there are some who post merely to increase their post count (what's funny about that ) Lately, we think it's more board participation and longevity that catch our tiny eyes. Someone who's been on the boards since Sep'06 and talking about waiting "so long" for a tag is rather funny, but that doesn't inspire us.

Bottom line - It depends on our moods and how busy we are, and if something is pretty funny unintentionally.
