How do you get excited planning a trip with older kids?

We've been going with our children since they were very young and now they are teenagers. I have to tell ya, it's BETTER now!! We just enjoy everything so much more. We all feel as though Disney is our second home and the kids feel so at home there and so comfortable. They can go off and do stuff by themselves, we stay out every night until very late and really get into the night time stuff. For example this last trip the kids went to DQ at night and hubby and I went to PI, so cool!! We ended up doing this 3 times during our last trip. I don't even miss the character meet and greets at all, we did that SO much when they were little. Character meals are so much more relaxing, no more waiting to get autos and pictures (although we still do get pictures!!LOL!!), we can really enjoy the meal and the character interaction, and believe it or not the characters seem to interact with us more now! It's just a different time. Yes it's not the same, but for us it really is better!
