Hi

Does anyone know how you find out which route flys the airbus.

We are looking at LGW flying out on a Thursday 11.15 flight and returning on a Thursday on the 8.45pm flight.

Is there a way of checking.

Thanks

If you go onto the Virgin Atlantic site and pick the flights you are interest in, on the page that gives you the price details click on the flight number and it will tell you the plane type.

Thanks for that, looks like it will be one type each way. Now the other thing I would like to know is which seats are booked already.

I know lot to ask but I am flying out with my kids on my own and want to get either 2 + 2 in a row although I know on the airbus the config is 2 + 3 + 2.
I don't want to book the flight and find that people have already booked all the seats and we are sitting in separate areas. We are flying PE so limited amount of seating.

I wouldn't worry so much if I was flying with my husband as we could split so that one of us was with at least one or two of the kids ea

Just been on chat with Virgin, they are a bit reluctant to talk seats. She checked my flight and said that all pre-bookable seats were gone but not to worry as they only release half the allocation.

Does anyone know, do they always release and hold back the same seats. Have you booked online and then booked your seats straight away - which rows are released in premium economy and which are held back.

if you are flying with children under a certain age (i think it might be 12) legally they have to sit with an adult that they are travelling with, they will move other passengers if they have to.

if you are very worried about it just check in at the airport early (ok so no one likes being at the airport for a long time, but it is worth it for the piece of mind, and hey what else are you going to be doing) and you should be able to get seats next to each other.

if you book by phone they will also be able to allocate your seats, even if you cant on-line anymore

I might try calling and booking, just not sure if they will take my husbands cc details but then if I have the security code etc it might be okay.

My youngest is 11 but the other two are 14 and 16.

Husband is more worried about me driving home from Gatwick as its about a 2 hour drive so now he wants me to look into a cab both ways.

If the pre-bookable seats have gone then it won't matter how you book you won't be able to request seats.

They try to keep family groups together and several times we have been moved in PE but always been kept together.

We could request seats for our flights out this May but I am not too worried as I know on the 747 the front half of the bubble is not pre-bookable and the front row downstairs.

I will use online check in and see how we get on as there is 3 of us Me, DH & DD who is 2.
