How do you figure points?

We are considering renting points for our May 2003 stay. We are flexible on resorts and dates. How do people fiqure how many points are needed for an 8 night stay. Thanks!

When asking how many points you will need at a DVC resort you will need to know what size room you want, studio, one bedroom, 2 bedroom, grand villa, you will also need to kown the dates, also it costs more points to stay Friday and Saturday night. Once you give out that info someone can probably telly you how many points you will need. May is a slow month so it should not be much trouble for you to get the points

You can use the points as a guide to approximate the costs of renting, but be sure to compare with the cost of a cash rental directly thru Disney (CRO). Keep in mind that you won't get daily housekeeping with the rental and will likely have a more restrictive cancellation policy also.

That said, a rental thru a DVC member is certaibly a way to save some $$ for most stays at a DVC resort. Sun-Thurs nights will be a BIG savings and weekends will likely cost more. Just do the math for the dates you're looking for.
