My mother-in-law always ends phone conversations by just hanging up. Makes me think she's mad at me.
My mother, on the other hand, can't end a conversation. She says, Bye, and then Love you, and then, bye again, and then she'll add in something about when she'll see me next, and then another love you . . .

. With that said at work it's kind and polite-"Thank You, goodbye." With family it's always love you, or talk to you later or something like that. When I am angry I answer, listen and click when I am done listening or just done period. No goodbyes no response period- just click.
