How do YOU end a phone call?

I've noticed on television or movies when people end a phone conversation they simply hang up or turn off the phone. I always say "Good bye". "take care". "see you later" something to signify the end of the call but I wonder is this another one of those things that depends on the section of the country?

I always say good-bye when getting off the phone. Just hanging up on tv shows bugs me.

I always end the call with a good-bye. I've never had anyone just hang up on me without ending the call and vice versa.

at work I always say have a magical day. at home it depends on who I'm speaking with - could be love you, talk to later, bye.

Anybody else I think I say "Okay Bye"
But a friend says that me along with several other family members say "UmmmByE"

Noticing where you live I wondered if you work at WDW? I have been known to use that phrase when speaking to fellow Disney fans.

LOL - DH and I have noticed that too about TV shows. It would definitely catch me off-guard if someone did that to me in real life!

My grandpa was like that. He would call and say what he had to say and hang up.

When I was a kid our next door neighbor just hung up without saying goodbye. I remember my Mom would do the woman's hair for her once a week (setting it on rollers, or pin curls) and would sometimes give her a home perm...the woman would call and if I answered she'd just say "tell your mother I'm ready for her to do my hair" then hang up the phone, loudly. It was always almost like she slammed it down.

I always say goodbye or talk to you later or something of that sort to end a phone call. I do feel it's kind of rude to just hang up on someone without saying something to end the call.

I always say "goodbye". Except for the people that I love, then I end with "I love you"

BUT, my DH just hangs up on people! Drives me batty, especially when he does it to me. I can get out the "I" part of "I love you" before he hangs up.

Anyone else, I end with "okay, bye!"

I always say "okay, bye".

My mamaw never said goodbye when she was ending a call. Now that I think about it, sometimes she didn't even wait for the other person to finish talking. She just hung up. Every now and then, we could here her saying, "okay" as she was hanging the phone up. Her voice just sort of trailed off then. I miss my mamaw.

I usually say take care or have a good night if it is evening. If I'm talking to family, I'll say love you.

I normally always end with I love you if its family or talk to ya later, bye. The funny thing is my kids say that I say ummmm bye. I don't do that, but they say I do.

As my Aunt gets older, I notice that sometimes she just hangs up when she is done talking. I think she forgets that she didn't say bye.
