I boil mine in the microwave for 4-5 min, then drain the water. Then I dump the seasoning packet on top and mix it in with a fork. Add a little fresh ground pepper and there ya go. :teeth:

So how do you do Ramen?

OMG! My daughter is making Ramen noodles for her lunch right now! What a Twilight Zone moment! :rotfl2:
She boils 2 cups of water on the stove like the package says. She could live on Ramen. Ramen Ramen Ramen. Everybody loves Ramen. :sunny:

I don't anymore, but I used to stir in a beaten egg into it at the end while cooking. It added some protein.

Eggs in your Ramen? Scandalous! Unholy! ;) :rotfl:

I could never do it with eggs..I don't eat eggs unless I absolutely have to. Disgusting things, eggs....

We boil it on the stove just like the instructions say. But when I add in the noodles I throw in a handful of asian style frozen vegetable.

Now there's an idea..never thought of that, SnowBrite. :) I might try that next time.

OT, but...

TheOtherVillainess - whenever I notice your avatar I sorta shudder, then laugh - it's so twisted, so demented, so...wrong - gotta love it! :teeth::p

hmm, maybe Ramen with a side of Nemo... :scratchin (fish are food, not friends ;))

I havent done this in years but my sister and I used to boil two pkg of noodles in a couple cups of water. Add some frozen peas just before you drain to cook them a bit. Sprinkle with one packet of the spice and then add a cooked hot dog sliced into pieces. We called it Ramen suprise, did you know there is a ramen cook book out there for college students?

There is even a desert where you melt a hershey bar on top of the dry noodles. Never wanted to try that one though.

I used to live off of them!! When I first came to Atlanta it was all I could afford.

I have a strange way of making them that my son really loves since he's a big Mac n cheese fanatic.

I boil them, drain, then add a slice of American cheese to it and microwave for 30 secs. Michael can have that instead of anything!

I actually enjoy them with a pat of butter and a sprinkle of the shrimp flavoring. Excellent! :thumbsup2

Boil a cup and a half of water in a pot and after the water comes to a boil, add in the noodles. Cook that for a bit then add in the seasoning packet. Then top it off with various items, bean sprouts, fish cake, chopped green onions.... and add in some homemade chili oil or Japanese chili pepper seasoning.

What brand does everyone buy?

I use slightly less water then it calls for. I am not sure how much I never measure and I boil it. Then when it comes to a boil I add the noodles and boil for 8 minutes. I like them real well done. Then I add the seasoning mix. And I only like oriental flavor. None of the others unless it is Chicken cup of noodle and then I put the water in that to boil in the microwaver for 2:22 seconds.
I think I have food issues.

whenever I made Ramen noodles, I would crunch the noodles up, place them in a bowl, pour the seasoning packet over it, then boil some water and pour it over the noodles...I watched my boyfriend make it because thats what he ate ALL the time. He boils very little water, adds the noodles and lets it cook on the stove for about 5 minutes, then adds the sauce packet. by that time all the water is boiled out of it. he mixes it up , places it in a bowl and eats it...I used to eat only the Spicy Beef but they discontinuted that one :sad2: so I switched to the Pork. Boyfriend only likes Chicken

Never had ramen noodles. DS broiught some home from college once, but the expir date was long past, LOL.

herc.

Uh I don't... not since college anyway.

I drain them too...then add the seasoning and either butter or cheese. DH likes the drained noodles scrambled w/ eggs or w/ a can of cream of mushroom soup mixed in...the last one has always looked too gross for me to try.

DS cooks it in college a lot, he does it in the microwave and adds red pepper flakes. He loves it, I guess it's a college thing because he never ate it while growing up at home.

basically I cook them in boiling water drain or not depending on mood and seasoning I put in (almost never use the packet that comes with it). Top with green onion or toasted seaweed sheets. Sometimes add hot dogs and cheese. Other times just butter.

Wow I thought I was the only one to feel this way.

I make mine on the stove, than I put the noddles in a bowl and only pour on enough of the broth to keep them moist. After I am done eating them I throw out the rest of the broth.
