My dear, I'd love to -- but AFAICT, there are no such jeans currently made in my size (an 18WP, btw -- I have a 28 inseam and a waist height that is proportionally short). I had found some that were close, but they were too light in color to be truly current, though I bought them anyway. Alas, those are now discontinued, too.
These days, the only things I can find that fit my hips gape at least 6 inches at the waist, and sometimes up to nearly a foot. At Old Navy I tried an experiment once: I had taken one of their soccerballs into the dressing room to amuse the toddler, and I decided to see if I could fit the thing into the back of the jeans waistband, and I COULD!!!

It stayed there all by itself, loosely basketed in the back of the jeans. These were jeans that were "lowrise" and supposed to be my size, but the waistband hit just below my belly button, instead of 4 inches further south. However, since it wasn't supposed to hit that high, the gape at the waistband was massive. I've sewn for a living -- no pair of jeans is worth
that much work to alter.
