How do you cope with the anticipation

With a 20+ day wait standing between us and our vacation I wonder: What's the spoonful of sugar that helps you stomach the countless hours leading up to your vacation?

DIS boards, podcasts, Touring plans app chat, talking about the trip with DW, changing plans sometimes at the last minute- looking at the activities schedule for our resort, watching the forecast, packing... we kinda like WDW :)

I love reading trip reports up to the time we leave. Also making list just to make sure we are good to go!

Disboards, Crafting (magic bands, shoes, Mickey ears), packing, podcasts, and pretty much anything else Disney. We are 11 days out. :)

Using disboards & easyWDW to ask any questions before the trip! =).

Watching Youtube clips to find out the best strategies of tackling each park.

Also, I like to put various audio Disney soundtracks (Wishes, Festival of Fantasy Parade) on my phone to play while I am at work.

Do you regularly walk 5-15 miles a day? It's a great time to get your new pair of shoes and start walking around breaking them in and getting your endurance up (and have the pain now).

Other than that, I start to watch all the blogs a lot closer in case there is going to be anything that changes or available while I'm there.

What we are at 111 days out and bouncing off the walls. Forums Facebook groups and plan plan plan and think about the next trip

trying not to think about it too much until it's time to prepare, but getting all questions taken care of

Remembering that it's only a vacation, not the rest of my life... I hope...

lol I am 1 year and 2 months out and I am bouncing off the wall. We usually go every year but can't go this year bc we have to buy a new horse trailer, lol. Its heart breaking that we aren't going but doesn't mean I can't plan plan plan for 2017 lol. My husband said we can even go on a little longer trip next year than previous years to make up for missing this year, so that just fuels to my excitement, lol. Plus I need to know when I should start looking to book things and when I need to book my dining plans. Actually on the day I will have to book the dining reservations my kid has a horse show and I was contemplating either pushing my vacation back a day so he doesn't miss his show or just canceling the show to make the reservations, lol. It depends on how high up he is in points for the season I guess for what I decide to do. The only reservation that I really care about is Be Our Guest so if I have to call Disney while we are loading up the horse to go on the trailer I will do that, lol. I am that obsessed...I think this is some sort of crazy disney girl disease, lol

I like to watch the latest "Must do Disney" video on YouTube with my kids. My wife likes to go over our itinerary....... Again and again and again......

Got our magic bands yesterday in mail for Mardi Gras 2/6 - 2/13 trip and went ahead and booked our next trip for thanksgiving as well

Ready to go

When I get to a couple weeks out I try to ignore the excitement to some degree so I don't get too burnt out on it before we leave. I do 'boring' stuff that's still vacation-related like packing lists, dealing with luggage, supplies, any new clothes, etc.

This thread is what I really needed. I'm 2 weeks out and I have no idea what to do! I already made a general plan of what I wanted to do each day, packed, and made sure I have the proper documents. DH is also sick of hearing me talk about this trip. I'll find out tomorrow if my mother is coming along so if she is, I'll have to make a new set of plans which will give me something to do for a short while. :rotfl: I've pretty much just been browsing the disboard as well as doing some housework to keep me occupied while I wait in anticipation. :hyper:
