How do you coordinate showers with only 1 bathroom?

My children have had a bath daily since they were born, so I can't imagine not having them bathe at Disney!

We sometimes do a one bedroom villa, so my kids often shower at night, and my husband and I in the morning. It only takes a few minutes. I often do both morning and night at Disney, especially in August!

It's not a big deal!

EVERYONE showers at night. We have been sweaty and sunscreen and touched everything and everyone. Only takes five minutes each- no big deal. And the adults often jump in for a quick morning one too. To wake up, and basically do a quick shampoo ( unless we are just hanging at the pool for the morning.) I can't imagine not showering at night and climbing in dirty sheets the next night.

Thanks! Looks like kids at night adults in morning works well for a lot of you. I will try and have the older two do their showers before bed quietly and then take mine early am. I just hope the noise from the shower doesn't wake anyone.

After a day in the parks, it would take a whole lot more than the sound of a shower to keep anyone in my family awake!

We are a family of 4. My kids are 9 and 10. We just got back from Disney. Both kids would take a 5 to 10 minute shower each. Then went to bed. I would take the next one and then my husband after that.

This is not much different then at home for us. We only have 1 bathroom. When at home my kids go to bed by 8. So they take them earlier and I will take onexit before I go to bed at about 10. My husband takes one in the morning.

For us, Disney is a hot sweaty day so we all (4 max) always shower every night.

DS would normally go first since he's quick and most anxious to get to bed. Frequently he would get off the bus and be out of the shower and in bed while DD and I were still wandering through the gift shop, filling mugs, and just generally taking our time. DH generally made a bar stop on his way to the room. Then DD, then me so that I could dry my hair while DH showered. The whole process only took about 30 minutes (5 each for DH and DS and closer to 10 for DD and I due to more hair to wash and condition.)

Then DH and I could sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine feeling clean rather than hot and sweaty.

Haha, we do it the same way we do it at home (we are a family of 5 with only 1.5 bathrooms).

We all shower at night before bed.

Kids shower at night, DH and I shower in the morning. The kids get dressed in the room while we are in the shower. We close off the doors/curtain/whatever to separate the sink area from the rest of the room, and we get dressed there when we get out of the shower. DH makes us coffee and he and the boys eat breakfast while I'm drying my hair, etc.

If we swim, we all take a quick shower after that.

I hate getting in bed feeling dirty and nasty. We all bathe or shower before bed. My boys will be close to their 6th and 2nd birthdays when we go, they will probably share a bath before bed unless my oldest wants a shower. Our baby girl will have sink baths as needed. Then DH and I will either take turns or share a shower depending on how quickly the kids fall asleep. And sometimes I also like to take a morning shower to wake up.

I often do both morning and night at Disney, especially in August!

Us too. On our summer trips, we often shower in the afternoon too after a nap/pool break and before we go back out in the evening.

We're all about the night before shower, that way we don't have to set the alarm for quite as early in the AM. I usually throw my wet hair into a bun and blow dry in the AM. I honestly just can't climb into bed still covered in sweat and grime from the parks.

We all shower daily, dh and I twice a day when in Disney.

I am up at 6 and I shower then, dh gets up at about the same time/when I get in the shower and does his time on/at the library (saves time that way). He gets in the shower after me. The kids are slowly waking at about 6:30 (they know the drill that we need to be out by 7-7:15 to hit the 8am park opening.

While dh is in the shower the kids take turns doing their bathroom thing.

We bring breakfast so they eat and dh and I eat and we are out the door by 7-7:15 with water bottles filled.

We return for a Mid day nap and if I am up first I will shower, much quicker just to get the summer sweat off. Then dh and the 3 kids shower and it probably takes about an hour.

We stay out until 10-11 so night time doesn't work for us.

Pool days the only one that showers is dh. The chlorine kills everything on me so I don't shower.

Family of 5 here, too. We all shower at night. I can't go to bed with the park all over me. And our feet are usually dirty from walking in flip flops/crocs all day. My daughters all have blonde hair so they HAVE to shower after pool time, otherwise their hair turns a nice shade of green :crazy2:

Depending on the weather I'll shower twice at Disney, afternoon break and before bed.

We have 2 bathrooms at home, but the water pressure isn't great when both showers are running, so we keep to the same schedule. 2 little girls shower together (with mom's help). As I'm dressing them/brushing hair & teeth, oldest is showering on her own. Once she's out H & I jump in together while they watch TV. Once H & I are in PJs the TV goes off and we all go to sleep.

Our boys take a full shower when we get back from the parks before bed. DH and I rinse off from the day and get in bed. We take full showers in the morning. I don't like to go to bed with a wet head. In the morning the boys have a little more time to sleep while we get ready. This works for all of us.

I grew up during a drought with hippie parents. I can shower and wash waist length, thick hair in 3 minutes. Taking turns isn't that big a deal.

Kids shower at night. I shower in the morning. I shower first. While I'm doing my hair or whatever my SO gets in the shower. When he gets out I wake the kids up and they use the bathroom, brush their teeth and get dressed. We do all of this in about an hour and 15 minutes.

ETA: I also do a "rinse" shower at night before bed meaning I don't wet or wash my hair. It's literally to get the sweat and gunk off of me. But I need a good shower in the morning and have to wet my hair to do it in the morning. I leave it curly and in a high bun or ponytail.

In Disney no one in our family goes to bed without a shower. DH and I usually do a rinse off in the am too just to wake ourselves up.

The kids will sometimes fall asleep on the way back to the resort but I always wake them up for at least a 5 minute wash.

Our kids 9 & 11 shower at night. DH and I will take "long" showers (shampooing etc) in the morning and quick ones at night before bed.
