How do you celebrate your last night?

I guess it's not really a celebration

Our last trip we ended it with Fantasmic. It was great, but MGM is our least favorite of the parks, and it felt kind of wierd that it would be the last thing we'd see until next trip.

So what do you consider the perfect ending to a perfect Disney vacation?

Always Magic Kingdom. It's bittersweet, watching that castle change colors while people are filing out of the park.

It's like we stand there, wishing that moment could just freeze forever.

Actually, I hate it and love it all at the same time. :guilty:

This year we are finishing off our vacation with dinner at Marrakesh and an Illuminations Cruise.

We are going in June with DH,myself and DS5 and DD5. This will be my kids first trip!

We decided to end with an early Chef Mickey dinner and watching the fireworks in Magic Kingdom. I know I will tear up after the fireworks, I always do when I am leaving the park for the last time.

For each of our previous trips, and for our next one coming up, it's dinner at Teppanyaki followed by a World Showcase stroll and a viewing of Illuminations. It puts a great cap on a wonderful vacation.

Cinderella's Royal Table for us, this year. It's our 18th wedding ann. and we decided to go out with a bang!

We always spend our last night at the Magic Kingdom... eating at Tony's Town Square restaurant and taking in the MK atmosphere for one last time! It's so hard to walk down Main Street towards the exit knowing that it's time to go home. :sad1: I always stop in front of the train station and just stare at the castle for a few moments. My family always makes fun of me because I cry!

Another vote for spending the last day (and night) at Magic Kingdom. We stay till closing, watch Wishes and hopefully get to see Mickey Mouse waving goodbye from the train station. Another family tradition is figuring out on the way back to the hotel how long it will be until we're back again. It always cheers us up just a little to know it won't be too long until we see Mickey again!

We used to end each stay with watching Illuminations while standing on the bridge between France and GB and drinking an English beer, but since Wishes began, we go to the MK and watch that each time.

we will be ending our journey at MK as well... It's the first we do and our last. We are ending our vacation with a nice character breakfast this year on our departure day (Chef Mickey's). First experience for us with character dining. We shall see...might become a tradition!

We only went once, but we ended things at MK as well. I hate leaving but am happy to be able to end it at the most "Disney" of the parks IMO.

We finish at the Magic Kingdom with Wishes and Spectromagic, then hang around in front of the castle for as long as possible.

Another MK & WIshes bunch. Except we do dinner at Chef Mickey's & then head back to the park for Wishes (sometimes Spectro if we can). & we always look in all the shops on Main Street on our way out.

Wishes for us as well, and it will be the first thing we do when we go back.

This trip will be tougher though  DD9 has a list of other things she wants to see like the East Coast of Canada, Grand Canyon, The Loch Ness Monster, Buckingham Palace, Holland, Germany and Australia, hopefully not all in the same trip! :teeth:

But the Mouse has hypnotic powers......... :cool1:

Magic Kingdom for us as well......If at all possible, we do Ohana character breakfast before leaving Orlando on check out day........

Something special about beginning and ending our vacation with MK. :cool1: Although each of our children have favorites at the other parks, MK holds a very special place in our hearts.

We always end (and start) our WDW vacation in MK and before we walk under the train station...ALWAYS say "Goodbye Mickey....see ya next year! " :guilty:

We are going on our first wdw trip in July. I am glad to know I am doing the right thing by ending at MK. That is what I had planned. Thanks all!
