Hi all!
Planning my first trip and I have this question:

How do you carry your KTTW? Just in your purse or wallet? Can you punch a hole in it to put it on a lanyard? Do you put it in a badge holder? What is safe and easy?

Thanks!!

It is just personal preference.:)

I prefer to carry mine in ny wallet just like it was a credit card, but many Guests do carry it in a "badge holder" around their neck.

You DEFINITELY can't punch a hole in it!:)

Have a great first trip!:)

Hi all!

I generally carry my KTTW card in my wallet, except during EMH. Then I put it in a badge holder and on a lanyard (for easy access). I would not punch a hole in it.

I carry mine (and my boys) in a plastic waterproof holder on a lanyard we bought at AKL yrs ago. They have different sizes, we use the smaller one. (I think the bigger one is at the water parks and can hold a cell phone?) Anyway, I can carry all 4 of our KTTW's, our AP's, my reg ID and a credit card, if I want. I have also put some cash in there as well, although, when I do that, it gets pretty snug, but still works.

I started this when my boys were young so they wouldn't loose theirs and it's just the way we do it now! Works perfect for us. :goodvibes

Just in my pocket. I've got a card-holder type of little leather wallet that I keep our AP, KTTW, TIW cards along with some cash and ID.

I put ours in a waterproof badge holder on a lanyard I got a few years ago. Have a great trip!

I use a baggallini messenger bag and keep it in the little cell phone pocket on the strap.

I have a lanyard from the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and I attach my ID holder which I purchased at WDW is where I keep my KTTW card while I am there.

I would never use a lanyard. When we were at WDW, someone had their lanyard ripped right off and the person was eventually caught by cast members. However, they spent quite a bit of time that day because of this poor incident.

Purse for me, and wallet for DH. We always hold our own KTTW cards, and our kids cards also.

I put it in a badge holder at the end of a lanyard to wear around my neck. I don't like to bring my wallet into the parks and this way I can keep it within reach. I usually wear the lanyard under my shirt or jacket (if its cold) this way its just not out in the open. If I don't use the lanyard then I put it into one of my pockets.

I buy a Lanyard and buy one of those clear pouches that attach. I put my photopass strip facing out so I don't have to take it out at all. They can just zap it threw the plastic and my KTTW card is in there also.

My friend gave us some free lanyards she had gotten from conferences. We only ended up using one of the lanyards (we have young kids & either DH or I wore the lanyard & got FPs). We bought an ID holder at the park for $5. We couldn't find an ID holder before our trip & now I'm finding lots. I would suggest getting a nice one that zips. I saw one the other day in with the ladies' purses that would have worked great because it had a key ring & a zipper on it. The ziploc type ID holder we bought at the park tore up- it split down the side & the ziploc thing came off. I reinforced the next one with packing tape but I highly suggest buying a nicer one at home with a made out of something other than plastic with a real zipper.

The one that was ripped off of someone's neck must have had a breakaway strap. Ours didn't have a breakaway strap. Probably the best place to get a nice lanyard would be a college bookstore. One of the lanyards my friend gave us had an actual velcro wallet on it but I thought that would be too heavy & irritating to wear around my neck.

I would not suggest carrying your wallet with your regular stuff in it but that's because I lost DH's wallet at WDW in April. I think it fell out of my pocket in the restroom. Thank goodness some wonderful person turned it in overnight & we got it back intact!

I carry my KTTW card in this case....

It keeps it from falling out of the purse and being lost, and I can quickly pull it out of the purse to use and show it if needed.

And YES, the lanyards do cause a neck rash/burn if I don't use bodyglide. I rarely wear it around my neck. I'm to afraid of it getting caught on a ride and accidentally choking me. I'm a bit of a worrywort. I also carry a flashlight in my purse in case TOT shuts down during the dark part. :rolleyes1

DH and I bought Lanyards and pouches on our trip three years ago and we love them.
Never had a problem in the heat like a pp mentioned. Its so easy to have it right there and then you don't have to keep going into your wallet to get it for fps or for paying for things etc.

Don't fold spindle punch or mutilate your KTTW card. Then you'll have trouble getting it through the turnstiles and the room door lock.
