How do you carry water bottle/drink?

Last time at WDW I used a Northface fanny pack for my small items. It was so easy to get on/off rides and we don't like to carry back packs.

Does anyone have any tricks or ideas for carrying a water bottle?

I've used the bottle carrying straps in the past. Essentially, it's a string with a lock the cinches down on the neck of the bottle. They sell them in the parks.

They also sell the bottle carrying straps at Walmart in the camping section for $1.

For another idea, I made these for our last trip:

I also do not like taking backpacks to the parks. I feel like it's bothersome to take the pack on and off every time I want something or putting something away.:rotfl: I know it seems silly but I am the only one carrying the darn thing and for some reason this annoys me.

Anyway so for a few years now I have been looking for something that is big enough but not too big and something I could wear across my body so I wouldn't have any hassle getting things in and out of the bag.

I think I have FINALLY found the perfect bag for me. I will have to post photos of it but it's a Swiss travel bag I found in the travel section at Target for $ 20. The true purpose of the bag is for a light carry on however it is perfect for Disney World. So far I have gotten all my needed things inside and there are a TON of pockets. I found it on Amazon for about the same price (http://www.amazon.com/SwissGear-Vertical-Travel-Black-Grey/dp/B001QSYEJ8)

The second compartment I have pretty much empty and plan on carrying two water bottles in. This way as the day goes on I can throw away the water bottles and gain room for anything we pick up while in the parks. I am really excited about using this bag, I hope it works out well!

I don't carry a water bottle at all. I just stop for water cups at the counter service areas or settle for fountains.

I carry as little as I possibly can.

when i came to the states i used a small waterbottle that clips to ur jeans similar to the one cast members use around same size.

got them from wallmart on way in to disney... i say way in we stayed at Kissimee at the southern dunes villas

just filled up my bottle at the water fountains it didnt bother me everyone says the water tastes horrid but i dont mind it its okay... i must be strange... lol either that or it says somthing about English water

Thanks all for the great ideas! I will definitely try some of them out.

MNTwinsmom, I wish I was that talented. Really cute bottle holders!

Are you anti water from the parks? You can get free water at any concession stand and then you don't have to carry it around.

I know some have mentioned not liking to lug around a backpack all day, but have you tried a hydration backpack (like Camelbak)?

I cannot wear a regular backpack, but the hydration pack we have is very comfortable. It sits higher up and can even be left on for most rides. It's also cooler since it's filled with ice water.

I usually wear a small fanny pack for easy access to items like tickets/keys and the camera and DH wears the hydration pack.

I believe I have the same ones. They have a U shaped clip that snaps onto the neck of the bottle and a carbiner clip on the other end to clip onto pant loop/backpack. They were $1 each and came in different colors. They were located in the camping department. Bought them a few years ago.

It's one like this

I have a couple pair shorts, I guess you could call them cargo's, that have some big pockets. A small 500ml water bottle easily fits in one of the pockets. I fill up with water at the concession if needed.

I do not really mind the water from the drinking fountains but after reading the Baby Bidet story I try to skip the fountains. :rotfl:

Later,
Dan

We get the free water from counter service. I like to carry as little as possible. I don't mind room temperature water, but not warm water as it would seem to be if you carried a bottle around all day in the FL heat.

I used an Overland Donner last trip, that had a pocket on each side, so I was able to hold 1 for me and 1 for dd. The actual Overland Equipment site sometimes has good sales, I got mine for $20. I was able to keep it on all rides, just slipped it to the side of me.

On Rockin' Roller Coaster at DHS I put the bottle inside the zipper part, I was afraid they'd fall out.

On the days I took a small "wallet on a string", I used this:

DW likes to carry a slingbag on which most are made with an external mesh to hold bottles. If i'm carrying a bottle, it's usually cargo pockets; but side w/some of the PPs in maximizing the available water from concessions and bidet... er, fountains.

I use a water bottle on a cord, like some others do.

I like having a bottle with me so I can drink water whenever I want without having to wait in line at a counter service place.

Actually I just carry it around with me. We have a summer business and I am outside alot and I do the same. If I don't have one in my hand I always feel like I am missing something. I put my initial on the cap in case I put it down I can find mine(at home not at WDW LOL). Habit I guess!:)
I know a little weird but I don't mind carrying a small shopping bag either!?
