Just wondering how everyone did it: Do you figure out where you're going to b and than pick the restaurants accordingly, or do you pick the restaurants first, and than pick the parks accordingly?

We pick the restaurants and go with the flow...I dont set a schedule as to what parks we do when, but that is for when we go for a week.

When we go for a weekend it is one day MK and one day Epcot so I choose that way.

we pick were we are eating and just plug the res. into the day we are at that park. i wish i was close enough to go for the weekend!! dd has 3 years of high school and col. if i have any money left,( its not looking good so far)
im movin!!! dont like cold and snow anymore!!

I plan a late character breakfast or early lunch @ whatever park has early entry that day. We usually grab a few pieces of fruit to hold us over if we get hungry.

On the EMH evenings, I plan a TS dinner at that park or @ a resort near it.

I always research historical info on which parks are best on which days. This year I also used Tour Guide Mike and I followed his best parks advice.
So we plan Where we will be first. Then we choose where, in that area we would like to eat. It may be in the Theme Park or at a nearby resort.
I only plan which park on which days and our associated ADR's for those days. The rest of the plan is to Go with the Flow.

I never book before I see that park hours. We tend to eat late so if we are doing EMHs or a party at the MK, for example, we want to eat a little earlier and near the MK.

Defnitely pick the park days first. Restaurants second.

But then they wind up not having availabilities for the days you pick.... Then you change which days you go to the park so you can get a good time at a restaurant.

And THEN you completely luck out and get a CRT reservation -- but it's on a day you have another park scheduled. So, it's back to the drawing board :)

Man, I love to overplan!

I am so with you FFerret!

Nicole- I use TGM (I think you have, right?) I schedule my days and then call for me ADR's. The only problem I have run into is when TGM is a bit slow with his info & you are trying to scheudle a trip and your 180 mark hits... you must call for those really tough resturants to get into, like CRT...without knowing IF you will be there that day:eek: Hence, starting all over and rearranging everything...MUST happen for overplanners like I.:) :rotfl:

Hello all,

What are our chances for booking our ADRs now, when our trip is May 3-10? We just booked our trip yesterday, and have no experience with the dining plan. Will we be out of luck for the good restaurants, and the character meals?

Thanks!

Cheers

If you are traveling May 3-10th I would recomend you call for your ressies ASAP!! My DH and I are going the same week and booked approx 2 months ago and barely got the times and days we wanted for some places like Chef Mickey's and Boma...we had to take what was available wich was the last seating of the night. So my recomendation to you would be not to wait call now find out what you can get into and then plan whay parks you will go to on what day's arround what you get :-)

I wish you much luck and hope you have a great trip!!
