How do we get started on a TeePee or Longhouse replica

My 2nd grader has chosen to make a replica of a teepee or a longhouse for his Native American project. But we need help getting started. Anyone know of any good sources of "plans" for such a project?

BTW - we HAVE to get this done this weekend.

We did this last year for our 3rd graders project. First we did a search on Indians, teepees and longhouses. Kevin decided on a teepee. You will need sticks about the same length and width. I think we used 4 or 6 but check the site because each tribe use different amounts. Also ours kept falling over so it would be a good idea to glue the sticks to the base. We used suede for the teepee and Kevin painted it the way the Indians would. The whold class had to do this and the results were fantastic. Couldn't believe how creative these kids were. You will have a lot of fun with this and it seems really hard but the worst is figuring out what to do. Getting the teepee to stand up was the second.

The Iroquois tribe used a longhouse. If you do a web search over on google.com, you should get lots of photos and ideas.

When my DS was a Cub Scout, for the Akela Council tribe our Pack was the Iroquois tribe and had a full sized Longhouse.
