You know, the family who gets chosen to sit in the carriage at the beginning, wear ears and wave to everyone?

It is at random! You have to be in the right place at the right time.

We were lucky enough to be picked as "Grand Marshalls" on our last trip. We didn't arrive at MK until about 10.30am and made straight for the shops on Main Street as it was cold and we were approached by a Cast Member who was very friendly, he asked us about our trip and had we been to WDW before, he then asked if we were going to be at MK all day and we replied yes, he then asked if we would do him a favour and be "Grand Marshalls" to which we all quickly said "YES PLEASE".

Needless to say this was the highlight of your holiday.

We were once chosen to be family of the day at Epcot - CM's started talking to Lucy, who was 8 at the time....we always say that it was because she has red hair!!!

I think they also like the "typical" family...we stand no chance that now that hubby doesn't come with us and Lucy has grown up!!!

We were once chosen to ride aboard the Omnibus before the MNSSHP parade, just walked up Main st and someone with a clipboard asked us if we would do it. Great experience.
