find out how many days i have left on my park hopper if i bought it a few years ago but added no expiration to it?

Just go to guest services either at Magic Kingdom, Epoct, Disney MGM Studios or the Animal Kingdom. Tell them you wish to know how many days you have left on your Park Hopper pass & they will slide it threw the Computer & tell you.

there isn't any way to find out before you go to WDW?
I don't think there is because they can see on their computers what day & time you entered each park, so I don't see how you can check that info on your tickets anywhere outside of WDW.

There are NUMBERS on the tickets so they do not have to be scanned for the info to be revealed by the computer files.

HOWEVER, Disney policy now is to NOT provide the info unless you are actually in WDW with your ticket.

I thought that magnetic stripe on the back of the tickets is where they get all the info from the pass onto the computers. Last December my Dad had left his pass at home, thankfully we were using the plastic resort cards for our passes (not our Resort ID seperate tickets). Anyway the numbers on our tickets were the same, expect the last digit & when the Cast Member on the Atrium Club floor entered my number our infomation from the tickets showed up with the days we had left on them & the times from last August with what parks we went to.

The STRIPE contains only the number ID for the ticket (same as is printed on it).

The WDW computer files contain all the USAGE INFO...
those files get accessed based on the ticket number.
Otherwise, the magnetic stripe would have to be RE-RECORED ON THE TICKET with every use.

Same goes for any credit card or debit card you have. The BANK keeps all the info for the account. The STRIPE is just the ID for the card.
