The friend in question has been with us on a trip where I rented DVC points 4 years back. She was amazed by the Boardwalk villas and the price we paid (it was $10/pt back then). But since then she's been heading to disney paying rack rate and complaining about the cost. She's always curious as to how I, a single mom, can afford it while she and her husband have a hard time with it. No matter what I say or how I try to present the idea of DVC and points she just doesn't "get it". She thinks DVC's a gimmick and a waste of money (even though they pay for a week at deluxe rack rate every year)
I'm determined to give teaching her one more, final, shot as she's headed off to the world with her family next week and I'm positive I'll hear the moans and groans of a broken wallet again. I've come to realize there are just some people DVC is not meant for even if they have the funds, go to Disney every year and love the DVC resorts.
